🏫 ABOUT INSTITUTION
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is an autonomous organisation set up in 1961 by the Government of India to assist and advise the Central and State Governments on policies and programmes for qualitative improvement in school education. The major objectives of NCERT and its constituent units are to: undertake, promote and coordinate research in areas related to school education; prepare and publish model textbooks, supplementary material, newsletters, journals and develops educational kits, multimedia digital materials, etc. organise pre-service and in-service training of teachers; develop and disseminate innovative educational techniques and practices;collaborate and network with state educational departments, universities, NGOs and other educational institutions; act as a clearing house for ideas and information in matters related to school education; and act as a nodal agency for achieving the goals of Universalisation of Elementary Education. In addition to research, development, training, extension, publication and dissemination activities, NCERT is an implementation agency for bilateral cultural exchange programmes with other countries in the field of school education.

NCERT, an apex organization for Educational Research, Teacher Training and Development of Curriculum and Instructional Material in School Education, invites applications from candidates for filling four posts of Principal (Group ‘A’) for its Regional Institute of Education, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysuru and Shillong on tenure basis. This appointment will be initially for a period of two years, extendable upto a maximum period of five years. The Council follows the UGC guidelines for recruitment of its faculty. However, NCERT’s own thrust and focus areas should be reflected in the background of potential candidates. The essential qualifications for the posts of Principal, RIEs are as under: Pay Scale: Rs.37,400-67,000 with AGP- Rs.10, 000/- (Revised to Academic Level 14 with rationalized entry pay of Rs. 1,44,200/- )

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
i) Ph.D. Degree.
ii) Professor with a total service/ experience of at least fifteen years of teaching/ research in universities, colleges and other institutions of higher education.
iii) A minimum of 10 research publications in peer- reviewed or UGC-listed journals or NCERT Journals.
iv) A minimum of 110 research Score (As per Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Regulation-2018.)
