Bakhtiyarpur College of Engineering (BCE) is one amongst the six new Government Engineering College established by the Government of Bihar under the Department of Science and Technology. It will start its first academic session (2016-17) from old campus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Patna at Patliputra Colony. The new engineering college will have four engineering branches – computer science, civil, mechanical, and electrical & electronics – with an intake of 60 per branch and 240 students in total.

- Essential qualifications are as per AICTE/UGC/DST Norms.
- Ph.D. and NET qualified candidates will be preferred.
- Retired teachers will get preference.
- This engagement will be purely temporary and remuneration-based.
- Remuneration for Guest Assistant Professor will be as per existing rules and directives of DST, Government of Bihar.
- The Institute reserves the right to withdraw the partial or full advertisement/ notification w.r.t walk-in-interview without assigning any reason.
- The services of Guest Assistant Professor will be terminated without notice if found unsatisfactory. No claim will be entertained in this regard.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Interview.
