🏫 ABOUT INSTITUTION
I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) was established by an Act of State Legislature on 16th January, 1997, to promote technical, management and pharmaceutical education in the state at degree level and above. It was established as Punjab Technical University and renamed as I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University by State Government in the honor to Late Sh. Inder Kumar Gujral, Former Prime Minister of India, in 2015. The University has the mandate to set up centres of excellence in emerging technologies and for promoting training, research and development in these areas. The University has undertaken the task of training students to help in the development of skilled manpower in this sector in the country in general and in the state in particular. With this goal in mind, the university is promoting a number of courses in different streams in regular as well as distance education programmes. At present University have 121 AICTE and 65 UGC institutes affiliated with it.

- Online Applications are invited to empanel Guest Faculty (purely on Hourly basis) in Main and other constituent Campuses of IKGPTU for the session 2022-2023 in the various departments/ streams. Details of which are available on the University website.
🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
The details of the required qualifications & experience along with other relevant information are available on the Institute Website
Note: – All the candidates are requested to visit the online notice-board of University for more information/update regarding requirement in different departments /streams, Interview schedule and Result declaration
The minimum qualification is as per UGC/AICTE norms with Ph.D in relevant field. In case, candidates with Ph.D qualification are not available, then candidates with lower qualification may be considered. Preference shall be given to the petitioners who had earlier worked with the university and have filed civil writ petitions (CWP No. 12713/2015 and CWP No. 13678/2016) before the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, in case they choose to apply.
🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹
It is purely on hourly basis @ Rs. 1000/- and 750/- per hour with Ph.D degree and Master’s Degree candidates respectively (maximum monthly ceiling limit Rs.50,000/-) for one year (2022 to 2023) as per IKGPTU norms.
