Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal IISER Bhopal were created through a proclamation of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, to promote quality education and research in science and related areas. The first two IISERs (Pune and Kolkata) were established in 2006. This was followed by an Institute at Mohali (2007), Bhopal & Trivandrum (2008), Tirupati (2015), and Berhampur (2016). IISER Bhopal were incorporated as Institutions of National Importance under the umbrella of the NIT (Amendment) Act, 2012 (NIT Act 2007). The Act was further amended in 2014, entitled the NITSER ACT 2014. Each IISER is a degree-granting autonomous institute.

Applications are invited from highly motivated and eligible candidates for the recruitment of one (01) Project based Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Project Associate I purely on temporary basis to work full time in the project titled “Early Prediction of Signs of Mental Illnesses from Clinical Records and Social Media Using NLP and Machine Learning” funded by MHRD, Government of India

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
Essential: Students with M.Tech./M.E./M.S./M.Sc./M.C.A./B.Tech./B.E./B.S./B.S.-M.S. in Computer Science or related disciplines from a recognized Institute/University with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 7.0 on a 10 point scale (overall percentage/CGPA/CPI; not only in majoring subject).
Desirable:
● Candidate has qualified CSIR/ UGC NET or GATE.
● Knowledge of basic mathematics, statistics and programming languages e.g., Python, R etc.
● Knowledge of standard machine learning and NLP techniques for information extraction and can run relevant tools like Scikit-Learn, NLTK, Gensim, Tensorflow etc.
🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹
● INR 25, 000 + HRA (as applicable) per month (Consolidated pay with no other allowances) for the candidate without CSIR/ UGC NET or GATE qualification.
● INR 31, 000 + HRA (as applicable) per month (Consolidated pay with no other allowances) for the candidate with CSIR/ UGC NET or GATE qualification.
