The jurisdiction of the University is spread over Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed and Osmanabad districts. The University has to serve historical and cultural needs of the whole Marathwada. The name of city however illustrious, cannot exercise the same spell upon the imagination of the Marathwada People. The name of the University must be such that it will make an emotional appeal to the heart and minds of the people. The name Marathwada has that advantage, therefore it was named as “Marathwada University” on 14th January 1994. The University was renamed “Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University” to pay homage to work done by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar for the educational development of Marathwada region.The University Campus covers an area of more then 650 Acres of land

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
i. Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent Degree from an accredited Foreign University.
ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this Clause 4.4.1, candidates, who have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph. D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.
iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
v. After scrutiny of the received applications, eligible candidates will have to appear for online qualifying test conducted at online for 80 marks of 80 MCQ based questions carrying One mark each. Duration for the test will be 90 minutes. 0.5 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Date & Time of Oral Interview will be communicated separately. Candidates on merit will be called for personal interview. Weightage for written test will be 80% and for interview 20%

Online applications in the prescribed form are invited from eligible Indian nationals for teaching posts of Assistant Professor on consolidated salary of 24,000/- per month for period of 10 months from University Fund in the University Departments, Sub Campus Osmanabad and for Gopintharao Mundhe National Institute of Rural Development and Research (GMNIRD) & Model College, Ghansawangi from the grants received from State Government as shown below, so as to reach the undersigned on or before the following date(s):
The terms and conditions of the said appointments will be as per the Direction No.01 /2022.

On completion of online application candidate should take complete printout of the application and submit a Hard Copy in Two sets and completed in all respects, alongwith synopsis and necessary documents duly attested.
