Guru Nanak Dev University was established at Amritsar on November 24, 1969 to mark the 500th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It is both a residential and an affiliating university. In conceiving the future course of the University, the objectives enshrined in the Guru Nanak Dev University Act 1969, emphasised that the new University would make provision for imparting education and promoting research in the humanities, learned professions, sciences, especially of applied nature and technology. The University has risen to 16th rank in the top 50 universities of the country, as per recent survey conducted by ‘India Today’ and has achieved 11th Position, out of the 500 universities, in Publications in science. The University has won the highest sports Award in the country, the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Trophy, for a record of 21 times. The university has won National Championship in Inter-University Youth Festivals in the year 2012. The University has been National Champion for 8 times. The University has also won the North Zone Inter-University Cultural Championship for the 12 times this year.

📝 HOW TO APPLY
Applications are invited for the following posts of Instructors in this Department on purely part-time contract basis at a fixed salary of Rs. 11,500/- per month (consolidated) for a period of one Academic Year (i.e. for the Academic Session 2022-23) or till the completion of the course whichever is earlier. The candidates who fulfill the prescribed qualifications can fill the Online Application Form at the website http://www.gndu.ac.in/lifelongptins/default.aspx and submit the filled-in application form along with fee deposit slip of Rs. 1180/- and all other required documents in the Department of Lifelong Learning within two days after filling up the application form. The last date for applying is 30.06.2022 till 05.00 PM. The candidates must also bring a copy of the application form along with their Bio-Data, Original Testimonials/Certificates/Experience etc. at the time of interview. The date, time and venue of interview for these posts will be notified later on the university website.
- A candidate with higher Qualifications and experience may be preferred.
- The number of posts may be changed depending upon the requirement of the department.
- The appointment may be made on Part Time Contract Basis/Lecture Basis depending upon the number of students.
- TA/DA will not be paid for attending the interview for the above said posts.
- A candidate shall have to apply and pay the fee separately for more than one post.
