Government of India founded the Central University of Tamil Nadu, along with eight other Central Universities, through an Act of Parliament in 2009. It is part of the greater role that the Central Government assumed in making higher education accessible to aspirants from the weaker sections of the society. With eight students in M.A. English Studies, the university started functioning from November 2009, at the Collectorate Annexe at Thiruvarur, 60 kilometers to the east of Thanjavur. But today the University sits astride a major tributary of the famous Cauvery river in the heart of the Delta seven kilometers to the north-west of Thiruvarur.

The Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) has set up Dr.Ambedkar Centre of Excellence (DACE) approved by Dr.Ambedkar Foundation (DAF), The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India (GOI) for providing specialized coaching to the Scheduled Caste Students for the Civil Services examination conducted by the UPSC.
The CUTN invites applications in online mode for the contract faculty positions at DACE to coach the SC Students in competitive exams by providing the best coaching facilities. The contract faculty requirement details are as under

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

- Public Administration Master Degree in Public Administration & Ph.D in Public Administration/NET
- Geography Master Degree in Geography & Ph.D in Geography/ NET
- Sociology Master Degree in Sociology & Ph.D in Sociology/NET
A Masters degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in the above mentioned subjects from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by UGC or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D degree in the above mentioned subjects accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be are exempted from NET. Further, the qualification of contract faculty shall be at par with the minimum qualification for Assistant Professors in Universities as per UGC Regulations, 2018.
🏆 BENEFITS / SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹
Selected candidates shall be paid a consolidated fixed pay salary of Rs.115000/- per month (Taxes as applicable).
