Applications are invited from highly motivated and eligible candidates as research student under the project sponsored by UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research, Kolkata Centre entitled “Ionizing radiation-induced mutagenesis and rapid identification of mutant genes for the improvement of traditional aromatic rice” (Reference no. CRS/2021-22/02/499) at the IRDM Faculty Centre, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute (RKMVERI), Narendrapur, Kolkata.

🎯 TITLE OF THE PROJECT
Ionizing radiation-induced mutagenesis and rapid identification of mutant genes for the improvement of traditional aromatic rice
🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

| (1) | CRS Project Fellow (Junior) -I | M.Sc. (not earlier than 3 years) with a minimum of 55% marks in Life Sciences, Botany, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, and allied subjects Desirable qualifications Candidates having experience of working with molecular biology techniques such as DNA isolation, PCR, cloning and gene expression analysis in plants. |
| (2) | CRS Project Fellow (Senior) -I | After completion of 2 years as a CRS Project Fellow (Junior) -I + at least one research paper in a reputed SCI journal + assessment of the student by a 3 member expert committee approved by the Centre-Director Desirable qualifications Candidates having experience of working with molecular biology techniques such as DNA isolation, PCR, cloning and gene expression analysis in plants. |
| (3) | CRS Project Fellow (Junior) -II | M.Sc. (not earlier than 3 years) with a minimum of 55% marks in Life Sciences, Botany, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, and allied subjects + Valid JEST/GATE/NET-JRF/Lectureship/UGC-CSIR-JRF/Lectureship + PhD registration of the student under the super vision of the PI at the University where PI is affiliated Desirable qualifications Candidates having experience of working with molecular biology techniques such as DNA isolation, PCR, cloning and gene expression analysis in plants. |

🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹
- CRS Project Fellow (Junior) -I Rs. 14,000 per month + HRA
- CRS Project Fellow (Senior) -I Rs. 16,000 per month + HRA
- CRS Project Fellow (Junior) -II Rs. 31,000 per month + HRA
- CRS Project Fellow (Senior) -II Rs. 35,000 per month + HRA
