🎯 DESCRIPTION
The Information Security Group (ISG) is seeking to recruit a Post-doctoral Researcher to model software evolution and build tools to help developers cope with it. The Post-doctoral Researcher will work alongside Dr. Santanu Dash and other software security researchers in the ISG on topics in software evolution, automatic software transformation and related fields.
🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
The fixed-term fulltime post is funded for 3 years by an EPSRC grant (https://gow.epsrc.ukri.org/NGBOViewGrant.aspx?GrantRef=EP/W015927/1) on investigating and reducing the impact of rapidly evolving libraries on maintainability and consequently, security of their clients. Applicants with a strong background in all areas of software security and/or software engineering are encouraged to apply.
Applicants should have already completed, or be close to completing, a PhD in a relevant discipline. Applicants should have excellent software development skills and an outstanding research track record in building tools to automate software engineering tasks such as software analysis or software transformation. Applicants should be able to demonstrate scientific creativity, research independence, and the ability to communicate their ideas effectively in written and verbal form.
