The Institute looks after teacher education and other educational requirements of the States of Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and UTs of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. The Institute is located at Shyamla Hills and is 7 Kms away from both Bhopal and Habibganj railway station and about 20 Kms from Raja Bhoj Airport, Bhopal.

The Regional Institute of Education, Bhopal will hold Walk-in-Intervicw on the dates & time as mentioned each post for engagement of the following Teaching posts & Non-teaching posts on contractual basis. The tenure of the engagement of teaching & Non-teaching posts is up to 30.04.2023 or till the regular incumbents join the post, whichever is earlier. The contractual engagement will confer no right to claim the post or regular basis.
