🏫 ABOUT INSTITUTION
Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat is to be a leading technical Institute not only at national level but also at International level for imparting training to manpower as per the needs of technology. It is also envisaged to provide the necessary infrastructure to take up research work and to provide the mechanism to interact with industries effectively. This Institute was established in 1961 as one of the RECs for imparting technical education in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. In the year 1983-84 the Under Graduate programmes in Electronics Engineering was introduced and in the year 1988-89 the UG programmes in Computer Engineering and Production Engineering was started. In the year 1995-96, UG programme in Chemical Engineering was introduced. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956, the Central Government on the advice of the University Grants Commission, has declared the Sardar Vallabhbhai Regional College of Engineering & Technology (SVREC), Surat to Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat with status of “Deemed University” with effect from 4th December 2002. The Institute has been granted the status of ‘Institute of National Importance’ w.e.f. Aug. 15, 2007. At present, the Institute is offering Six UG Programmes, Eighteen PG Programmes and Three M.Sc. Five Years Integrated Programme including doctoral programme in all above branches.

The institute is going to conduct Walk-in-Interview for the post of Sports (Physical Education) Instructor on purely contract basis for 11 months in the Physical Education Department. The minimum qualifications, specializations and date& venue of interview are as under:
💼 DESIGNATION / JOB POSITION
- Sports (Physical Education) Instructor
- Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Handball, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball and Yoga.
🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
Master’s Degree in Physical Education or Master’s Degree in Sports Science or equivalent degree with at least 60% marks or its equivalent Grade in the CGPA / UGC point scale with good academic record from a recognized University / Institute. Record of having represented the university / College at the inter-university / inter-collegiate competitions or the state and/or national championships; qualifying in the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC and passed the physical fitness test conducted in accordance with these regulations.
Desirable: (i) Experience in guiding group of students in creative activities. (ii)Candidate with higher degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in a relevant Discipline shall be preferred. (iii) Record of organizing such events as student’s convener or in later part of life. (iv) Record of strong involvement and proven track record of participation in sports and drama / music / films / painting / photography / journalism event management or other student / event management activities during college / University studies.
🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹
The monthly remuneration of S.A.S. officer will be not exceed by Rs 25000/-
