National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal is located in Mangalore City, Karnataka State, India. The Institute was established as Karnataka Regional Engineering College (KREC) in 1960, and upgraded as National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) in 2002. Mangalore is the headquarters of the coastal district of Dakshina Kannada, and boasts an important centre of education, business and trade in the state. Sri. U. Srinivasa Mallya, a visionary and a philanthropist, contributed immensely to the development of the coastal region of Karnataka, and his effort towards establishment of KREC (now NITK) is the most significant one. In recognition of his role as the founder and architect of the institute, the campus premises is named after him as Srinivasnagar.

National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal is an Institute of National Importance, established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India imparts education in the field of Engineering, Science and Management at UG, PG and Ph.D. levels. The Institute invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for Superintending Engineer position purely on a contract basis for a period of one (01) year, further extendable based on the satisfactory performance.

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
Essential Qualification:
➢ B.E/ B. Tech (First Class) in Civil Engineering from recognized University/ Institution or
➢ M.Tech (First Class) in Structural Engineering/ Construction Technology and Management from recognized University/ Institution. Desirable Qualification:
➢ Proficiency in Software Skills CAD and Auto CAD.
➢ A Minimum of 25 years’ experience in State/ Central Public Works Departments (preferably superannuated Engineer rendered services under Government).
➢ Experience in handling Educational/ Institution/ University campus maintenance and constructions works.
➢ Experience in handling construction and maintenance of National Highways/ Roads/ Bridges etc
