The North-Eastern Hill University Act (24 of 1973) passed by both Houses of Parliament received the assent of the President of India on May 26th, 1973. It was published in the Gazette of India (Extraordinary) on May 26th, 1973 together with the First Schedule of the Act incorporating the Statutes of the University.
North-Eastern Hill University Invites Application for the Positions of Guest Faculty Recruitment 2022
Applications on plain paper, along with the Bio-Data mentioning telephone number and E-mail address with supporting documents are invited for recruitment of three (3) Guest Lecturers in the Department of Computer Application, NEHU, Tura Campus. The minimum qualification will be as follows

- P. G. Diploma Music 1 (one) One Semester Assistant Professor (PWD)
- P. G. Diploma Painting 1 (one) One Semester Assistant Professor (SC)
🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
- Essential Qualification (EQ): Candidates should have good academic record with Master’s degree in the relevant or cognate or allied subject with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade point for General/OBC/EWS category and minimum 50% marks or equivalent grade point for SC/ST category. For Sl. No. 1 & 2 the relevant subjects are folkloristics, cultural studies, and folklore studies and the cognate and allied subjects are anthropology, sociology, history and English and for sl. No. 3 & 4 music, painting/fine arts/visual arts respectively. Besides, the candidates must have NET qualification or cleared similar test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET in the
concerned subject. - Desirable Qualification (DQ): Candidates having Ph. D. degree in the relevant or cognate/allied subjects will be given additional preference. Besides, candidates should have good publications and academic activities with minimum 3 years of teaching experience, part time or full time, at the P.G. or P.G. Diploma level.
🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹
- The honorarium for guest faculty will be as per the revised rates, i.e., Rs. 1500/- per class subject to maximum of Rs. 50,000/- per month.
