Somaiya Vidyavihar University fosters an integrated academic culture facilitating research addressing regional, national and global challenges in all areas of knowledge: Engineering, Technology, Basic and Applied Sciences, Life Sciences including Agricultural Life Sciences, Healthcare, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Environment and Sustainability by providing scientific, technological, and innovative solutions. Our research strength involves a 24×7 accessible research facility, and accomplished research faculty to facilitate research solutions in areas of Humanities, Engineering and Technology, Education, Dharma Studies, Management Studies, Basic and Applied Sciences, Commerce and Business Studies, Cultural Studies, Languages and Literature.

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
Eligibility: First Class Master’s Degree or equivalent from any UGC-listed Indian University or other National Institutions of postgraduate Teaching and Research/Equivalent Foreign University Qualifications recognised by the Association of Indian Universities. Age: Below 25 years as of 1st January 2022.
Selection Criteria: National Entrance Tests for UGC, CSIR, DBT, etc. for JRFs and SRFs; Entrance Test and Interview conducted by the Somaiya Vidyavihar University. The relative weightages for the qualifying examination, entrance test and interview are 50%, 30% and 20%, respectively. The Somaiya Vidyavihar University entrance examination will be on similar lines as that of the UGC and CSIR tests in this regard.
PhD Registration: The candidates getting admitted in the RTA scheme shall get registered for the doctoral degree programme of Somaiya Vidyavihar University under the supervision of a recognised supervisor following the PhD regulations. They will be exempted from the PhD entrance test and interview.
Teaching Assistance Assignment Those who have proven aptitude for teaching and offering assistance for teaching at the graduate and postgraduate levels will get an opportunity to do so for about 10 hours a week decided by the concerned teaching department/school.
🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹
Details of Associateship: Monthly emoluments of Rs. 35,000/- for the first 3 years and Rs. 40,000/- for the 4th and 5th year, based on satisfactory progress and performance. Annual contingent grant of Rs. 50,000/- for incidental expenditures related to research.
