National Institute of Technology Patna is the 18th National Institute of Technology created by the Ministry of H.R.D. Government of India after rechristening the erstwhile Bihar College of Engineering Patna on 28. 01. 2004. NIT Patna marked its humble beginning in 1886 with the establishment of pleaders survey training school which was subsequently promoted of Bihar College of Engineering Patna in 1924. This made this institute the 6th Oldest Engineering Institute of India. The graduate level curriculum was later elevated to the post graduate level in 1978. The institute is situated on the south bank of holy river Ganges behind Gandhi Ghat, one of the most important and reverential place of Patna. The Gandhi Ghat is associated with the immersion of ashes of father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi in the river Ganges. The campus has a picturesque river view with historic building presenting a spectacle of architectural delight and natural beauty.

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
Registrar
Educational Qualification& Experience:
Essential Educational Qualification: Masters’ degree with at least 55% Marks or its equivalent grade B’ in the UGC 7 point scale from a recognized University/Institute.
Experience:
i) Holding analogous post.
ii) At least 15 year’s experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of 7000/-and above or with 8 years of service in the AGP of 8000/- and above including as Associate Professor along with 3 years experience in educational administration, or
iii) Comparable experience in research establishment and /or other institutions of higher education, or
iv) 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years shall be as
Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post in the GP of Rs.7600/- or above.
Desirable:
i) Qualification in area of Management / Engineering /Law.
ii) Experience in computerized administration / legal / financial / establishment matters.
Deputy Registrar
Essential:
Educational Qualification:
Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade in the CGPA / UGC point scale with good academic record from a recognized University/institute.
Experience:
i) 9 years experience of Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs.6000/- and above with 3 years of experience in educational administration, or
ii) Comparable experience in research establishment and/ or other institutions of higher education, or
iii) 5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar in the Grade Pay of Rs.5400/-or equivalent post.
Desirable:
i) Qualification in area of Management / Engineering /Law.
ii) Experience of working in E-Office system.
iii) A Chartered or Cost Accountant degree or diploma for the post of Deputy Registrar
(Finance & Accounts) or Deputy Registrar (Internal Audit).
Assistant Registrar Essential:
Educational Qualification & Experience:
Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade in the CGPA / UGC point scale with good academic record from a recognized University / Institute.
Or
Employees serving as Superintendent (SG-I) / Private Secretary (NFG) in PB-2. GP of Rs.5400/- with at least two years regular service or Superintendent (SG-II) / Private Secretary (NEG) in PB-2 GP of Rs.4800/- with at least five years regular service with Master’s degree.
Desirable:
i) Qualification in area of Management / Engineering / Law.
ii) Experience of working in E-Office system.
iii) A Chartered or Cost Accountant for the post of Assistant Registrar (Finance & Accounts).

Junior Assistant (Accounts)
Senior secondary (10+2) from a recognized board with a minimum Typing speed of 35 w.p.m. and proficiency in Computer Word Processing and Spread Sheet.
Desirable: Proficiency in other computer skill: stenography skills
