Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (SBV) is a young Deemed-to-be- University proud of its modernity and yet firmly entrenched in rich educational heritage and ethos. This Deemed University was established in the year 2008 and ever since has been ceaselessly striving to excel in Academics, Research, Patient care and Extension services-all done with a view to serving the society.
School of Biological Sciences (SBS) is a constituent autonomous institution of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (Deemed-to-be University), established under section 3 of UGC Act 1956, accredited by NAAC with A Grade; ranked among the top 100 Universities by NIRF and recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India.
MGMARI and its School of Biological Sciences is a newly established constituent institute of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (Deemed to-be University), Puducherry. 🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
From candidates with Ph.D. in Life Sciences and Allied Disciplines possessing aptitude, interest, and passion for research and academics
For its new, unique, and exclusive advanced research institute at its Puducherry main campus.
- A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University approved by UGC or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
- Ph.D. degree (awarded in regular mode) in any concerned/allied/relevant disciplines from universities recognized by UGC.
- Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR. However, candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulation, 2009, or the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree) Regulation, 2016, and their subsequent amendments from time to time, as the case may be, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor in the University. Salary will be commensurate based on qualifications, academic credentials and post-doctoral experience.

₹ Remuneration will be highly competitive and commensurate with research experience and qualifications, at par with the UGC standards.
