The company has provided land, building, other infrastructure and also grants for running the schools since 1960. The schools are managed by HAL Education Committee, a registered society under Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 comprising of representatives of HAL Management, Heads of Institutions, parents and Teachers. The maintenance of schools is looked after by the management of HAL apart from giving subsidy for salary payment to non-grant in aid staff.
