The Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc), funded by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India, is a national Institution for fundamental research in the theoretical sciences. Research at the institute is internationally recognized. The institute runs a selective PhD program, supports several scientists at the post-doctoral level, and runs an active visiting scientist programme, hosting scientists from all over the world. IMSc faculty members conduct research, advise graduate students, teach in our graduate programs, participate in outreach activities and have other professional responsibilities. The Institute has a liberal leave and sabbatical policy, is generous with travel support for scientific purposes and is assisted by a supportive administration.
The Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc), Chennai is a National Institute of higher learning which fosters high quality fundamental research in frontier disciplines of Mathematical Sciences. IMSc has intensive teaching programme for award of M.Sc (by Research) and Ph.D. Degree.
Applications are invited for filling up the following Project positions under external Project of the Institute on consolidated salary from the eligible candidates who fulfill requisite qualifications/ specifications mentioned therein. The position indicated under the project, are proposed to be filled purely on contract basis only for a period of one (01) year and there is no scope of continuation/ regularization/ absorption under any circumstances.

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
Project Assistant [Programmer] Candidate should have 1) M.Sc/B.Tech/M.Tech in a quantitative field. and (2) should be less than 35 years in age on last date of receipt of application. DESIRABLE : Experience in scientific programming/machine learning/ algorithm design. This project involves developing novel methods to analyze large datasets, primarily in the healthcare domain.
Project Assistant [Data Entry] Candidate should have 1) Bachelor’s degree in any field and (2) should be less than 35 years in age on last date of receipt of application. DESIRABLE : Experience in medical data entry.

- Project Assistant [Programmer] Rs.43,400/- pm. (all inclusive)
- Project Assistant [Data Entry] Rs.25,000/- pm. (all inclusive)
