🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
The above posts are open to an, however, candidates from any category can apply for the post.
Reservation for women will be as per University Circular No. BCC/16/74/1998 dated 10th March, 1998. 4% reservation shall be for the persons with disability as per University Circular No. Special Cell/ICC/2019-20/05 dated 05th July, 2019.
Candidates having knowledge of Marathi will be preferred.
The Educational Qualification, Experience & pay-scale for the post of Principal, Professor, Associate Professor & Assistant Professor are as prescribed by the University of Mumbai, AICTE & DTE from time to time.
PROFESSOR
Ph. D. with BE / B.Tech and ME / M.Tech in the appropriate branch of Engineering or Technology as shown in Annexure IA and Annexure II with a First Class in either BE /B.Tech or ME / M.Tech.
OR
BE / B.Tech and ME / M.Tech in an appropriate branch of Engineering or Technology as shown in Annexure I-A and Annexure II with a First Class in either BE / B.Tech or ME / M.Tech and is working in an Industry or a teaching Institute having carried out professional
work of high standard which is recognized at National and or International level as equivalent to a Doctorate Degree.
AND
Ten years’ of work experience gained in Teaching after acquiring Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology out of which at least five years of experience must be at the level of Associate Professor.
OR
In case of persons from Industry, similar kind of qualifications equivalent to an Associate Professor as shown above and 13 years of work experience respectively is required.
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Ph.D with BE / B.Tech and ME / M.Tech. in an appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology as shown in Annexure IA and Annexure II, with a First Class in either BE / B.Tech or ME / M.Tech and with a minimum of 5 years experience in
Teaching and/or research and/ or industry, out of which a desirable 2 years of post Ph. D experience is expected.
OR
BE / B.Tech and ME / M.Tech. in an appropriate branch of Engineering or Technology as shown in Annexure IA and Annexure II with a First Class in either BE / B.Tech or ME / M.Tech and is working in an Industry or a teaching Institute having carried out professional work of high standard which is recognized at National and or International level as equivalent to a Doctorate Degree.
AND
Five years of work experience gained in Teaching or Industry or Research laboratories after acquiring Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology of which those five years of experience must be at the level of Assistant Professor as per sixth pay scale rule or Lecturer (Selection Grade) as per the old 5th pay scale rule.
