The Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) has been established in 2009 along with other new Central Universities by an Act of Parliament (No 25, of 2009). ๐ŸŽ“ QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

  1. The qualification and experience required for teaching posts will be as per โ€œUGC REGULATIONS ON MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT OF TEACHERS AND OTHER ACADEMIC STAFF IN UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES AND MEASURES FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF STANDARDS IN HIGHER EDUCATION, 2018 and its amendments from time-to-time.
  2. Ph.D. will be mandatory for all the posts of Assistant Professor as per UGC Regulations mentioned above at Sr. 1.
  3. For faculty positions of Department for Education and Department of Physical Education, minimum eligibility conditions will be as per NCTE Regulations 2014 and its amendments from time to time for M.Ed. and M.P.Ed respectively.
  4. For the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Natural Products and Deptt. of Pharmacology, in addition to point No. 1 above, qualification as per Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)/AICTE guidelines is required.
  5. For the Department of Computer Science & Technology, in addition to point No. 1 above, qualification as per AICTE guidelines is required.
  6. For the Department of Financial Administration, it is clarified that Master degree, NET/Ph.D. (as applicable) must be qualified in subject of Commerce.
  7. For the Department of Applied Agriculture, following qualifications are required in addition to point No. 1 above:
    a) For Food Science and Technology specialization: Masterโ€™s degree and Ph.D. degree in Food Technology / Food Science & Technology / Food Processing Technology / Food Processing Engineering is required for Associate Professor;
    b) For Agribusiness specialization: Masterโ€™s degree, Ph.D. degree in Agribusiness is required for the post of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor.

Finance Officer* (on Tenure Basis)
i. Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of “B” in UGC seven point scale. ii. At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs. 7000 and above or with 08 years of service in the AGP of Rs. 8000 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration. Or Comparable experience in research establishment and / or other institutions of higher education. Or 15 years of administrative experience, of which 08 years should be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.

Controller of Examinations* (on Tenure Basis)
i. Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of “B” in UGC seven point scale. ii. At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs. 7000 and above or with 08 years of service in the AGP of Rs. 8000 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration. Or Comparable experience in research establishment and / or other institutions of higher education. Or 15 years of administrative experience, of which 08 years should be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.

Librarian* (on Regular Basis)

Medical Officer (on Regular Basis)
Minimum qualifications: M.B.B.S. with at least 55% marks from a recognized university and 02 years experience as Medical Officer in a residential teaching institution or a hospital of repute. Or M.D./ M.S. in any Clinical Specialty. The candidate must be registered with Medical Council of India or State Council or will have to get registered before joining. Desirable: Candidate with Post-graduate qualifications will be preferred.
