๐Ÿซ ABOUT INSTITUTION

The Waqf Act, 1954 was passed by the Government of India after being presented by Sh. Mohammad Ahmad Kazmi, Advocate, and Member of Parliament. Subsequently, State Waqf Boards were constituted in all States except the then East Punjab. The first office of the Punjab Waqf Board was established at Dargah Hazrat. Sai Tawakkul Shah, Ambala City which was shifted to Ambala Cantt. on 31st March 1962 at 50 staff Road, Ambala Cantt. The said Board functioned up to 1964. Thousands of acres of lands spread all across the country, and hundreds of buildings and structures having historical significance together make what the world knows as Muslim Auqaf. The institution of Waqf in India is 800 years old. It began when Muslim rulers donated huge lands for charity. 


Punjab Waqf Board seeks applications from eligible female candidates for the regular post of Assistant Professors in various subjects and Librarian for Islamia Girls College, Malerkotla running under the direct management of the Board. The details of the posts in College are mentioned in the advertisement.

๐ŸŽ“ QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Principal
Ph.D. degree 2. Professor/Associate Professor with a total service/ experience of fifteen years of teaching/research/ administration in Universities, Colleges and other institutions of higher education. 3. A minimum of 120 Research Score as per Appendix III, Table 2.

Assistant Professor for Maths & English
1. Masterโ€˜s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in a concerned subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
2. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission Provided further, candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions :-
a) Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only;
b) Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners;
c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate had been conducted;
d) Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in a refereed journal;
e) Candidate has made at least two presentations in conference/seminars, based on his/her PhD work. (a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Registrar/ Dean (Academic Affairs). OR
3. B. PhD degree from a university/institution with a ranking in top 500 in the World University ranking (at any time) by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the Times Higher Education (THE) and Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai). Note: Academic score as prescribed in Appendix III, Table 3B for Colleges, shall be considered for short-listing of the candidates for interview only and the selections shall be based on performance in the interview.

Assistant Director of Physical Education and Sports
A. 1. Masterโ€˜s Degree with 55% marks in Physical Education and Sports or Physical Education or Sports Science (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
2. Record of having represented the university / college at the interuniversity /intercollegiate competitions or the State and/ or national championships.
3. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in Physical Education or Physical Education and Sports or Sports Science in accordance with the University Grants Commission Provided further, candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:-
(a) Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only;
(b) Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners;
(c) Open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate had been conducted;
(d) Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in a refereed journal;
(e) Candidate has made at least two presentations in conference/seminars, based on his/her Ph.D work. (a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Registrar/ Dean (Academic Affairs). 4. Passed the physical fitness test conducted in accordance with these Regulations. OR B. An Asian game or commonwealth games medal winner who has a degree at least at Graduation level.

Librarian
1. A Masterโ€˜s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library.
2. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission Provided further, candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:-
a) Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only
b) Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners;
c) Open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate had been conducted;
d) Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in a refereed journal;
e) Candidate has made at least two presentations in conference/seminars, based on his/her Ph.D work. (a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Registrar/ Dean (Academic Affairs).


๐Ÿ† SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE โ‚น

  • Principal A fixed salary of Basic pay Rs.37,400 + 10,000 (Grade pay) , will be paid during probation. On the successful completion of probation, appointee shall be paid Basic pay + Grade pay with 3% annual increment on basic pay plus grade pay.
  • Assistant Professor A fixed salary of Rs.15,600 + 6,000 Grade Pay, will be paid during probation. On the successful completion of probation, appointee shall be paid Basic pay + Grade pay with 3% annual increment on basic pay plus grade pay.
  • Librarian A fixed salary of Rs.15,600 + 6,000 Grade Pay, will be paid during probation. On the successful completion of probation, appointee shall be paid Basic pay + Grade pay with 3% annual increment on basic pay plus grade pay.

advertisement. Application received till 5pm of the 30th day (including the date of advertisement) shall only be considered. In case 30th day is a holiday, 5pm of the next working day shall be the last date/time for receipt of application
