🏫 ABOUT INSTITUTION

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, established in 1957 by the Uttar Pradesh State Universities Act, in its long eventful journey has constantly striven to live up to its motto, “आ नो भद्राः क्रतवो यन्तु विश्वतः” (Let noble thoughts come to me from all directions) by assimilating diverse ideas, people and beliefs into its academic life. The geographical location of the University is 26.7480 degrees North (latitude), 83.3812 degrees East (longitude). The University, the first to be established in Uttar Pradesh after Independence and named after the great political thinker, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya is located in the holy city of Gorakhpur and inherits the spiritual and philosophical legacy of Buddha, Kabir and Guru Gorakshnath. Spread over 191.21 acres, it houses 06 faculties comprising of 29 departments that have been playing a significant role in imparting holistic education to the people of the Eastern region since its inception. As a residential-cum-affiliating State University it can boast of a rich academic legacy, illustrious alumni, experienced, qualified and dedicated faculty members, transparent, effective and responsive administrative set up, state-of-the art library, Wi-Fi campus, ample career growth opportunities for its students, advanced research facilities and a vibrant and safe campus. 🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Application form, other details and Qualifications as per University Statutes Dt. 03.12.2013 (As amended up to date) are available on University Website www.ddugu.ac.in. UGC/ AICTE/ NCTE norms (as applicable). The online application filling process will close on 12.6.2021 28 June, 2021

LIBRARIAN (As per UGC Regulations, 2018)
A Master‘s Degree in Library Science /Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
At least ten years as a Deputy Librarian in University Library or ten years of teaching as Associate Professor in Library Science in a University Department or fifteen years‘ experience as the College Librarian.
Evidence of innovative library services including integration of ICT in library.
Ph.D. Degree in library science/information science / documentation/archives and manuscript-keeping.

DEPUTY LIBRARIAN (As per UGC Regulations, 2018)
A Master‘s Degree in library science/information science/documentation with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
Eight years experience as an Assistant University Librarian/College Librarian.
Evidence of innovative library services including integration of ICT in library.
A Ph.D. Degree in library science/ Information science / Documentation Science/Archives and manuscript keeping/computerization of library.

ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN (As per UGC Regulations, 2018)
A Master‘s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)
A consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library.
Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree inaccordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be. Provided further, candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances / Byelaws / Regulations of the Institutions awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges /
Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:- a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in the regular mode b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners; c) Open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate had been conducted; d) The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in a refereed journal; e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D work in conference/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency.
Note: 1. The fulfilment of these conditions are to be certified by the Registrar/ Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned. 2. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

DOCTOR
The candidate must have a MBBS Degree from a recognized institution.
He/She must be registered with the Medical Council of India (MCI).
He/She must have three years of experience.

ENGINEER (CIVIL/ELECTRICAL)
The candidate must posses a degree in Civil/Electrical Engineering from an institution or university recognised
by the Government.
Desirable:
He/She have three years of experience or M.Tech in the subject.

PROGRAMMER
Post-graduate degree in Computer Science/ Post-graduate diploma in Computer Science with Seven years working
experience in the related field.

JUNIOR ENGINEER (CIVIL/ELECTRICAL)
Must posses three year Diploma degree in Civil/Electrical Engineering from an institution or university recognised by the Government.
He/She must have three years of experience.

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (Temporary)
Doctorate degree in relevant subjects.

SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (Temporary)
Master degree in relevant subjects with two years research experience.
Note : The Research experience mentioned above includes experience as a research worker in any Institution
supported by a certificate by the Head of the Institution.

JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (Temporary)
Master degree in relevant subjects.

CATALOGUER
Candidate must posses Undergraduate degree from any institution recognised by the Government.Must posses Bachelor degree in Library Science.
Candidate must have O Level certificate from DOEACC.

ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER
Candidate must have passed Intermediate from UP Board Or any equivalent exam.
Must have typing speed of 25 wpm & 30 wpm in Hindi & English.
Candidates must have CCC certificate from DOEACC or any equivalent Certificate from any institute recognised by Government.
Must have 15 years of work experience at Group ‘C’ level jobs.

★ This corrigendum is being issued due to Rajbhavan notification dated 18.05.2021 regarding revised guidelines of Rajbhavan.
★ The University will adopt new guidelines issued by Rajbhavan but in the frame work of UGC regulation 2018 for selection of Teaching/Faculty Member.
★ Keeping above two points in view (1 & 2) the last date of online submission is extended to 28 June, 2021 and hard copy should reach to Assistant Registrar (RAC) Cell in Administrative Building, DDU Gorakhpur University by Registered/Speed Post on or before 30 June, 2021 (05:00pm).
★ The teaching and non-teaching positions of Mahayogi Sri Guru Gorakshnath Shodhpeeth are sactioned as regular positions under planned budget is subjected to approval of extension of UP State Govt, for next five years.

  2. Every applicant will have to submit a Fee of Rs. 1,500/ for Unreserved, O.B.C. and EWS Category and Rs. 1,000/ in case of S.C./S.T. Category posts, through online process via the University website.
  3. The applicant applying for the post of Librarian/Deputy Librarian/Assistant Librarian shall download the Application Form (Part I & II) after completing the on-line procedure and send it after signing all the pages of Application Form (Part I & II) by Registered/Speed post at the given postal address along with the self-attested testimonials on or before 15.6.2021 30 June, 2021 (05:00pm) to the following address: Assistant Registrar (RAC), Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur273009 (U.P.).
  4. The applicant applying for the post of Doctor/ Engineer(Civil/Electrical)/ Programmer/ Junior Engineer(Civil/Electrical)/ RA(Temporary)/ SRF(Temporary)/ JRF(Temporary)/ Cataloguer/ Administrative Officer/ Junior Assistant shall download the Application Form after completing the on-line procedure and send it after signing all the pages of Application Form by Registered/Speed post at the given postal address along with the self-attested testimonials on or before 15.6.2021 30 June, 2021 (05:00pm)to the following address: Assistant Registrar (RAC), Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur-273009 (U.P.).
  5. The University reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post(s) without giving any reason.
  6. Mere eligibility will not entitle any candidates to be called for the interview.
