🏫 ABOUT INSTITUTION

Shivaji University, established in 1962, is named after the Great Maratha Warrior and founder of the Maratha empire Chhatrapati Shivaji. It was inaugurated on 18th November, 1962 by Dr. Radhakrishnan, the then President of India. One of the major objectives behind foundation of this University was to cater to the regional needs of South Maharashtra. The jurisdiction of the University is spread over three districts viz. Kolhapur, Sangli and Satara with strength of about 3,00,000 students studying in 280 affiliated colleges and recognised institutes. The University’s efforts towards excellence are being recognised by the substantial grants received from funding agencies like UGC, DST, DBT etc. The another indicator of recognition of University is collaborations with premier institutes in the country.

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Director of Board of Examinations and Evaluation
a. Master’s Degree with at of any statutory University or its equivalent grade of B in scale.
b. Relaxation – i. The minimum requirement of 55% marks at the Master’s Degree level is relaxable up to 5% for the existing incumbents who are already in the University system.
ii. A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks at the Master’s level for the S.C/S.T. and O.B.C. category candidates. iii. A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. Degree holders who have passed their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September, 1991.
c. Experience –
i. At least 15 years of experience as Lecturer (Senior Scale) / Lecturer with 8 years experience in Reader’s/Associate along with experience in educational administration commensurate with revised pay scale and the UGC.
OR
ii. Comparable experience in Research Establishment and/or other Institution of Higher Education.
OR
iii. 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
iv. Good knowledge of computer is necessary. d. Minimum aggregate experience of 5 years in the examination work of University. e. Shall have proven experience of use of technology in education and examination systems.

Registrar
1) A Masters degree with at least 55 % marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale. (5% relaxation in Masters Degree for SC/ST & Departmental candidates). A relaxation of 5% from 55% to 50% of marks is permissible to the Ph.D. Degree holders, who have passed their Masters Degree prior to 19th September, 1991.
2) At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs.7000/- and above or with eight years of service in the AGP of Rs.8000/- and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration
OR
Comparable experience in research establishment and I or other institutions of Higher Education
OR
15 years of administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
3) Knowledge of Marathi is essential.

Dean. Faculty of Science and Technology
A.
i) An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of Govt. Resolution No. Misc2018.C.R.56/18/UNI-1 dated 8 March 2019.
ii) A minimum of fifteen years of teaching & research experience in university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and / or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate.
OR
B.
An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in A above) / industry, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence provided he/she has ten years’ experience
OR
As per post of PRINCIPAL
i. A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) by a recognized University.
ii. A Ph. D. Degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline(s) in the institution concerned with evidence of published work and research guidance.
iii. Associate Professor/Professor with a total experience of fifteen years of teaching / research / administration in Universities, Colleges and other institutions of higher education.
iv. A minimum of 110 Research Score as per Appendix II, Table 2 of Government Resolution No. Misc-2018/C.R.56/18UNI-1 dated 8 March. 2019

Dean. Faculty of Commerce and Management
A.
i) An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of Govt. Resolution No. Misc2018.C.R.56/18/UNI-1 dated 8 March 2019.
ii) A minimum of fifteen years of teaching & research experience in university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and / or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate.

Resolution No. Misc2018.C.R.56/18/UNI-1 dated 8 March 2019.
ii) A minimum of fifteen years of teaching & research experience in university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and / or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate.

B.

Director of Sports and Physical Education
i. A Ph.D. in Physical Education or Physical Education and Sports or Sports Science;
ii. Experience of at least ten years in Physical Education and Sports as University Assistant/Deputy DPES or ten years as College DPES or teaching for ten years in Physical Education and Sports or Sports Science as Assistant/Associate Professor;
iii. Evidence of organizing competitions and coaching camps of at least two weeks’ duration; and
iv. Evidence of having produced good performance of teams/athletes for competitions like state/national/inter-university/combined university, etc.

Director of Innovation, Incubation and Linkages
a. Professor/Principal with minimum aggregate teaching experience of 15 years
OR
Research Scientist of Grade-F with minimum aggregated research experience of 10 years.
OR
Research Scientist or Professional from the Industrial sector with a proven minimum aggregate Industrial/Entrepreneurial experience of 15 years in the process of establishment of an Enterprise/Industry and formation and execution of collaborations/linkages at National/International level.
b. Should have successfully executed two major research/ consultancy/ Industrial projects out of which at least one should be a collaborative / joint projects with linkage at premier National/ International University or Institution or Industry,
c. Knowledge in the field of Intellectual Property Rights and aspects associated therewith desirable.

Director of Lifelong Learning and Extension
A.
i) An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of Govt. Resolution No. Misc2018.C.R.56/18/UNI-1 dated 8 March 2019.
ii) A minimum of fifteen years of teaching & research experience in university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and / or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate.
OR
B.
An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in A above) / industry, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence provided he/she has ten years’ experience

  1. These posts are covered under salary grants scheme of state Government of Maharashtra.
