Mithibai College of Arts, Chauhan Institute of Science & Amrutben Jivanlal College of Commerce and Economics (Autonomous) is envisaged as a destination for the most talented and promising students, since its inception in 1961. The college has 32departments of which 16 are postgraduate departments with 10 of them conducting Ph.D. programmes. It has always encouraged an admission policy that favours meritorious students irrespective of their economic backgrounds. The college inculcates values that prepares a student for academic excellence through the paths of critical thinking, a professional work ethic and the determination to be accountable.
The academic year 2018-19 is year of achievements including BEST COLLEGE AWARD of University of Mumbai.INDIA TODAY RANKING 1st RANK Science & Commerce faculty 2nd Rank Arts faculty .Also Mithibai college is honoured with Government of India DST-FIST & DBT-Star College grants of Rs.1.5 Crores.This year is also very important UGC has conferred Grade 1 AUTONOMY for the period of 10 years without onsite visit by expert committee.

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

• Psychology
Programme : B.Sc./M.A Psychology Designation: Assistant Professor Role: Assistant Professor (Faculty-Jr. level) Qualification: NET/SET(Psychology) or Ph.D.

• Economics

• English
Detailed qualifications & Experience for the post of Assistant Professor (Sr. Level & Jr. Level) are as follows:-
(a) M.A English from a reputed University with aggregate marks of 55% and above.
(b) NET/SET/Ph.D. qualified in the Subject.
Other Qualification/Experience
 (i) Teaching Experience of minimum 3 years (Preferably in a post graduate program)

• Statistics Programme ;B.Sc applied statistics & analytics and M.Sc-Statistics Qualification Assistant Professor(Sr.position) (a) M. Sc. Statistics from a reputed University with aggregate marks of 55% and above. (b) NET/SET/Ph.D. qualified in the Subject.

• Business Management Programme : M.CoM.(Business management) Designation: Assistant Professor Role: Assistant Professor (Faculty-Jr. level) Qualification: NET/SET(Commerce) or Ph.D. CA/CS/CMA/CFP/CF. NET/SET/Ph.D. qualified in the Subject.

• Advance Accountancy M.Com Advanced accoutancy I. CA/CS/CMA/CFP/CFA/MBA-Finance will be given preference II. (ii)Teaching Experience of minimum 5 years (Preferably in a post graduate program) Teaching experience of minimum 5 years is essential at PG level for applying to PG courses will be preferred.
For Advanced Accountancy & Management/Commerce Specializations, applications who have acquired Professional Degrees in CA/CS/CMA/CFP/CFA/MBA-Finance will be given preference.
Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.#
Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) above, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (minimum Standards and procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment & appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Colleges/Institutions.
NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

• Applied statistics & data analytics Programme : MSc. statistics and B.Sc in Applied statistics and Data Analytics M.Sc. Statistics Qualification (a) M. Sc. (Statistics) from a reputed University with aggregate marks of 55%.
Teaching experience of minimum 5 years is essential at PG level for applying to PG courses will be preferred. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.# Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) above, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (minimum Standards and procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment & appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Colleges/Institutions. Assistant professor
Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree Level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent Degree from an accredited foreign University.

  1. Teaching experience of minimum 5 years is essential at PG level for applying to PG courses will be preferred.
  2. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.#
  3. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) above, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (minimum Standards and procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment & appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Colleges/Institutions.

Relaxations
A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the Graduate and Master’s Level for the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Differently-abled (Physically and visually differently-abled) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions.  The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures.A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. Degree holders, who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September, 1991.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. You will be expected to engage online/offline lectures as per the time-table allotted.
2.   Timely delivery of Programme.
        a. Course objective /course content/ learning outcomes.
        b. Course Material (Books/ cases/ reading material/ reference book etc).
        c. Time table
        d. Ensure timely completion of syllabus along with prescribed workshops/value added activities.
        e. To ensure lectures are held as per Time table.
3. You are requested to ensure the students attendance is marked properly and submitted timely for SAP portal.
4. For Internal evaluation, all the related work of assignments – the allocation of topics, registration of the students, accepting submissions and evaluating assignments should be completed as per the schedule given by the examination committee.
5. The evaluation of internal test papers (Regular and Additional) is to be completed within the prescribed time.
6. The evaluation of assignments (Regular and Additional) is to be completed within the stipulated time.
7. The internal marks should be submitted as per the schedule given by the examination and evaluation committee.
8. Question papers for respective courses and model answers for the same are to be prepared (as assigned by the HOD) and submitted as per the schedule given by the examination committee.
9. You will be attending all the examination duties allotted to you and are expected to complete all examination related work assigned to you i.e. invigilation, assessment, moderation, revaluation according to the schedule provided.
10. You have to make yourself available whenever required by the college authorities for attending admission, attendance, examination and other work.
11.  To be actively involved in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
12.  To monitor students attendance and timely counsel students who have low attendance.
13.   Mentoring/interaction with students.
14.  To participate in placement activities throughout the year.
15.   Comply with all SVKM policies and procedures.
16.   To be familiar with the Autonomous rules and Maharashtra Public University Act, October, 2016.
17.    To remain present for all the meetings, important events and show readiness for the training programs.

19.  Perform any other duties, assigned by the Management, Principal, Vice-Principal and Co-ordinator from time to time.
20.  We believe you will assist the college in achieving high standards of education and facilitate in taking the college to greater heights.

The above posts are open to all; however candidates from any category can apply for the post.
Reservation for women and disabled persons will be as per rule.  Candidates having knowledge of Marathi will be preferred.
Applicants who are already employed must send their application through proper channel.  Applicants are required to account for breaks, if any in their academic career. 
Appointment to the above posts is on purely contractual basis upto the end of academic year (2021-2022). The contract can be terminated with one month’s notice on either side.

Deputy Director (Placement) MBA (2 years full time) from a leading national/international management School with 8-10 years’ experience in industry/corporate organizations of which at least 2-3 years should be at Middle Management level in Marketing/HR. Candidates with experience from education institutions/sector and service sector will be preferred. He/ She should have good communication & interpersonal skills.  Preferred age 40-65 years.

Placement Assistant Bachelor’s degree with good computer skills. MBA in HR is desirable. He/ She should have good communication & interpersonal skills. Minimum Experience of 5 years in Educational Institutions is preferred.
