Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur has promoted The Technology Innovation and Start-up Center (IITJ TISC), incorporated under Section 8 of The Companies Act, 2013. TISC at IIT Jodhpur is the umbrella incubation center for nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship in various domains. This is a notice for recruitment at IIT J TISC.
We invite applications from citizens of India for filling up one vacancy each for CEO, Manager, Project Associate (Operations) and Project Associate (Accounts) at IITJ TISC. The requisite qualification, experience, and other details are given below

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
Chief Executive Officer
1.Lead operations of IITJ Technology Innovation and start-up Centre (TISC) – the industry-academia interface unit of IIT Jodhpur. Immediate and central role for the coming few years is to manage /promote the Bioincubator under BioNest – funded by BIRAC, DBT.
2.Lead role in setting up the Bioincubator by managing purchase of all approved items and equipments and oversee facility management
3.Expanding the source of funds under various schemes of Govt. / Non-Govt. including CSR fund
4.Enriching the start-up ecosystem by setting up networks with entrepreneurs, mentors, investors/funding agencies etc.
5.Oversee events and activities in reaching out to budding entrepreneurs – within and outside IIT Jodhpur, getting start-ups for incubation in TISC, particularly for the Bioincubator.
6.The incumbent will be responsible for oversight of Finance and Administration, Budgeting systems, Investments, HR, Legal and Business Development etc for TISC and particularly for the Bioincubator.
Qualification and Experience Essential: Postgraduate in Science / Graduate in Engineering
Desirable: Degree in Business Management
Experience: 5 – 10 years in most or all the following:
•Managing incubation and incubators.
•Startup founder / active participant in startup ecosystem
•Fund mobilization / Investment management
•Contract research, Technology transfer etc.
•Understanding of IP, research and development as practiced in an academic environment
•Operations / Marketing / Finance.
1.Outreach activities to attract start-ups to the incubator.
2.Facilitate evaluation of applicants for incubation
3.Provide support to entrepreneurs across ideation, Proof-of-Concept, and scale-up stage, handholding / guiding entrepreneurs in areas such as business modelling, sales and marketing, finance, fundraising, overall strategy, operations etc.
4.Enable entrepreneurs to access relevant resources and connections including challenges, CSR, Govt. and industry promoted schemes for supporting innovations/start-ups.
5.Organize training programs for internal and external candidates
6.Annual Accounts and audit
Qualification and Experience Essential: Bachelors in engineering / science
Desirable: Degree / Diploma in Business Management
1.Three years experience working as / with entrepreneurs, start-ups, incubator or incubation consultancy.
2.Demonstrated ability to cultivate, build and maintain strong working relationships with entrepreneurs, mentors, industry experts and angel investors.
3.Good understanding of the entrepreneurship ecosystem
Project Associate (Operations)
1.Equipment management and troubleshooting
2.Daily operations support for incubating start-ups
3.Assisting the Incubator manager in day to day operations.
4.Record keeping and file management
Qualification and Experience Essential:
Post Graduate in science/Preferable in Bioscience
1.Office work preferably connected with academia / healthcare .
2.working on computers with popular office packages
Project Associate (Accounts)
1.Book keeping and accounts.
2.legal/financial Compliances for TISC.
3.Assist start-ups in matters of legal and Finance
Qualification and Experience Essential:
Graduate in commerce
Desirable: CA/ICWA ( Inter/full )
1.Working with tally / accounting software
2.Finalizing accounts, compiling balance sheet, P&L statement.
3.knowledge of GST accounting, TDS and financial compliances including Audit
🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹
- Chief Executive Officer Rs. 12 lakh Annual CTC with 10% annual escalation) No HRA – Accommodation in C block on payment basis based on availability No Medical Allowance – OPD facility for medical accessible on payment basis
- Manager Upto Rs 6 Lac Annual CTC with 10% annual escalation. OPD facility for medical accessible on payment basis
- Project Associate (Operations) Negotiable based on profile and experience of candidate

3.The Institute shall verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a candidate at the time of appointment or during the tenure of the service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates are fake or the candidate has a clandestine antecedents/background and has suppressed the said information, then his/her services shall be terminated.
4.No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.
