🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Eligibility criteria for Teaching Positions in Engineering for Institute of Technology (as per AICTE Regulations)
Professor
(a) Qualifications for Professor
a. Ph. D. degree in relevant field and First class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant branch.
AND
b. Minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching / research / industry out of which at least 3 years shall be at a post equivalent to that of an Associate Professor.
AND
c. At least 6 research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals and at least 2 successful Ph.D. guided as Supervisor / Co- supervisor till the date of eligibility of promotion.
OR
At least 10 research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI journals / UGC /AICTE approved list of journals till the date of eligibility of promotion.
Associate Professor
(b) Qualifications for Associate Professor
a. Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and First class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant branch
AND
b. At least total 6 research publications in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals.
AND
c. Minimum of 8 years of experience in teaching / research / industry out of which at least 2 years shall be Post Ph.D. experience.
Assistant Professor- Computer Science & Engineering
B.E. / B. Tech. / B. S. and M. E. / M. Tech. / M. S. or Integrated M. Tech. in relevant branch with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.
Note: Qualifications such as M.Sc. (Mathematics), M.Sc. (Biotechnology), M.Sc. (Electronics), M.Sc. (Computer Science & allied subjects), M.Sc. (Physics), M.Sc. (Chemistry), MCA, PGDM, AMIE / M.Com and any other similar qualifications which were considered eligible at the time of recruitment or taken admission in such courses before publication of the AICTE Gazette dated 13th March 2010 are to be considered as eligible for promotion as well as direct recruitment in the same or other institutions,
subject to fulfilment of other eligibility criteria and higher qualifications as prescribed, if any, for various teaching posts.
Assistant Professor- Electrical & Civil Engineering
B.E. / B. Tech. / B. S. and M. E. / M. Tech. / M. S. or Integrated M. Tech. in relevant branch with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.

Professor: for Mathematics
Eligibility (A or B)
A.
i) An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2.
ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and / or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate.
OR
B. An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in A above) / industry, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence provided he/she has ten years’ experience.
Associate Professor for English
i) A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
ii) A Master‘s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed).
iii) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of Seventy five (75) as per the criteria given in Appendix II,
Table 2.
Assistant Professor Eligibility (A or B) : for Mathematics
A.A Master‘s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET :
Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bye-laws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Eligibility criteria for Teaching Positions in Institute of Technology
(Mathematics, English) (as per UGC Regulations)
Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions :-
a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode;
b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;
c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;
d) The Candidate has published two research papers from his/her
Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal;
e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her
Ph.D work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC / ICSSR/ CSIR or any similar agency.
The fulfilment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or the Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned.
Note: NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET.
OR
B. The Ph.D degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) the Times Higher Education (THE) or (iii) the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).
Good Academic record means that in addition to the minimum requirements prescribed above, the candidate must also have minimum 50% marks at UG Level Note: Candidates who have done Ph.D. after the Bachelor’s Degree from institution of National importance with GATE/ GPAT/ CEED shall be eligible for the post of Assistant Professor.
(**)
(i) Candidate possessing Ph.D degree or pursuing Ph.D. and have completed course work will be preferred for selection.
(ii) Candidate possessing Ph.D. degree from IIT/IISc/IIM as full time scholar for entire period and considered for appointment in the Institute of Technology / Institute of Management will be offered higher Pay level ( i.e. level 12), if said degree is an additional / higher qualification for the post.
(iii) Candidate possessing Ph.D. degree at the time of joining and degree is awarded in line with UGC Regulations -2009 and the said degree is considered as additional / higher qualification for the post then incentives of five increments will be offered on submission of supporting documents.

Eligibility criteria

Deputy Registrar
❖ Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven-point scale from a recognized University/Institution.
Nine years of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs.6000/- and above with experience in educational administration.
OR
❖ Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education.
OR
❖ 5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar in the AGP of Rs.5400/- or in an equivalent post.
Desirable – Degree in Management / Law and Computer Knowledge.
Age:- Below 55 years
Manager- Corporate Relations
❖ Postgraduate Degree preferably in MBA or equivalent from a reputed institute.
❖ Five years experience in relevant field.
Accounts Officer
❖ Chartered Accountant OR Masters degree in Commerce with Accountancy subject and at least 7 years experience of Accounting work.
Office Superintendent
❖ Graduate in any discipline with minimum eight years experience, out of which, minimum five years in supervisory post in administration/accounts/purchase with knowledge of computer


🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE

  • Teaching Faculty Position
    • Professor Level 14 Entry Pay (Basic) 1,44,200/- Gross salary 1,79,854/-
    • Associate Professor Level 13A Entry Pay (Basic) 1,31,400/- Gross salary 1,63,558/-
    • Assistant Professor Level 10 Entry Pay (Basic) 57,700/- Gross salary 72,369/-
    • Medical reimbursement: As Indoor Patient:
      For Asst. Professor and above and their equivalent cadre : upto -Rs. 5.00 lacs
      Reimbursement of Expenditure of Children Education Allowance: –
      a. For Assistant Professor: Rs. 1000/- p.m. or actual, whichever is less, for their children studying up to 11th and 12th, Rs. 1250/- p.m. or actual, whichever is less, for their children studying at higher education i.e. above std. 12th
      b. For Associate Professor and Professor: Rs. 750/- p.m. or actual, whichever is less, for their children studying up to 11th and 12th, Rs. 1000/- p.m. or actual, whichever is less, for their children studying at higher education i.e. above std. 12th.
      Other:
      a) Reimbursement of expenditure towards Books, Subscription of journals etc. as per University rules.
      b) Reimbursement towards expenditure done due to relocation as per University rules.
  • Administrative Positions
    • Deputy Registrar Rs. 78800/- Pay level-12
    • Manager – Corporate Relations Rs. 56100/- Pay level-10
    • Accounts Officer Rs. 56100/- Pay level-10
    • Office Superintendent Rs. 35400/- Pay level-6
    • DA, HRA, CCA, Medical Allowance as per University Rules
    • Medical reimbursement: As Indoor Patient:
      a) Asst. Professor and above and their equivalent -Rs. 5.00 lacs
      b) Lecturers and above but below Asst Prof and equivalent -Rs. 4.00 lacs
      c) Superintendent & equivalent-Rs. 3.00 lacs
