💼 ABOUT INSTITUTION

The University established on September 17, 1994 by the Government of Maharashtra. The university has celebrated 25 years of excellence in the field of education and research this year (2019-20).The University has been named after Swami Ramanand Teerth the Doyen of the Hyderabad Liberation Struggle and also a renowned educationalist and social activist. The University is to cater for southern part of Marathwada Region of Maharashtra State, specifically to the districts of Nanded, Latur, Parbhani and Hingoli.This university is one of the youngest university that could obtain 2(f) and 12(B) recognition of the UGC and also has achieved recognition, name and fame at the State, National and International level. The noteworthy recognition as ‘A’ grade university by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) testifies the claim.The University has 14 Schools on campus and sub-centres at Latur and Parbhani, a constituent college – New Model Degree College at Hingoli and academic and research centres like Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Chair and Study Centre, Shri Guru Govindsinghji Adhyasan Sankul & Research Centre and  Late. Uttamrao Rathod Tribal Development and Research Center at Kinwat. University has 300 plus affiliated colleges under its jurisdiction in the four districts Nanded, Parbhani, Hingoli, and Latur having 146 courses with student strength of 1.63 lakhs and 4000 plus students through distance education mode.  University host more than 70 foreign student’s for PG and PhD programs across five  countries and efforts are going on to increase this number and nationality.

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Dean, Faculty of Humanities a. The qualification and experience for the purpose of selection of the Dean shall be the qualification and experience of the Professor or principal having aggregate minimum teaching or research experience of not less than fifteen years ie.
i An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of ten publications as books and/or research/policy papers.
ii. A minimum of fifteen years of teaching experience in university/college, and/or experience in research at the University/National level Institutions/Industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level. iii. Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process.
iv. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API), Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) set out in UGC Regulation in Appendix III of UGC Notification dated 30/6/2010 and amendments notified from time to time. OR B. An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned / allied / relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.
OR
i. A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) by a recognized University.
ii. A Ph. D. Degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline(s) in the institution concerned with evidence of published work and research guidance.
iii. Associate Professor/Professor with a total experience of fifteen years of teaching/research/ administration in Universities, Colleges and other institutions of higher education.
iv. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), as set out in this Regulation in Appendix III for direct recruitment of Professors in Colleges.

Director, Board of Examinations And Evaluation
a. Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks of any statutory University or its equivalent grade of B in U.G.C. 7 points scale. b. Relaxation-.
i.The minimum requirement of 55% marks at the Master’s Degree level is relaxable up to 5% for the existing incumbents who are already in the University system.
ii. A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks at the Master’s level for the S.C/S.T. and O.B.C. category candidates.
iii. A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. Degree holders who have passed their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September, 1991.
Experience- i. At least 15 years of experience as Lecturer (Senior Scale)/Lecturer with 8 years experience in Reader’s/Associate Professor’s grade along with experience in educational administration commensurate with revised pay scale and designation of the UGC.
OR
ii. Comparable experience in Research Establishment and/or other Institution of Higher Education.
OR.
iii.15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post. iv. Good knowledge of computer is necessary. d. Minimum aggregate experience of 5 years in the examination work of University. e. Shall have proven experience of use of technology in education and examination systems

Finance & Accounts Officer A) A person who is a Chartered Accountant or a Cost Accountant, with professional experience of not less than five years. OR A Government officer of the State Finance & Accounts Service, holding the post not below the rank of Deputy Director.
Tenure and Age of Superannuation: The appointment of the Finance and Accounts Officer shall be for a term of five years or till the age of superannuation, whichever is earlier, and he shall not be eligible for re-appointment in that university.

Director, S.R.T.M.U. Nanded, Sub-Campus, Latur. The Director of Sub-campus shall be a person who is holding the post of professor or principal or equivalent position in any university or institute of national repute engaged in teaching, research and development activities, with not less than fifteen years teaching or research or administrative experience. The Appointment of the Director of Sub-Campus shall be for a term of five years or till the age of super-annuation, whichever is earlier, and he shall be eligible for reappointment, by selection on the recommendation of a selection committee constituted for the purpose, for only one more term of five years in the university in which he is serving.

  • Dean, Faculty of Humanities Rs. 37400-67000 with AGP 10000/- AGP is applicable as per the Government of Maharashtra rule
  • Director, Board of Examinations And Evaluation Rs. 37400-67000 with AGP 8900/- AGP is applicable as per the Government of Maharashtra rule
  • Finance & Accounts Officer Rs. 37400-67000 with AGP 8900/- AGP is applicable as per the Government of Maharashtra rule.
  • Director, S.R.T.M.U. Nanded, Sub-Campus, Latur Pay Band/ Pay Scale is applicable as per the Government of Maharashtra rule.
