🎯 ABOUT INSTITUTION

The Nagpur University was established on 4th August, 1923 with six affiliated colleges and 927 students. During 1947, the number of students increased to about 9000 accompanied by the improvement and diversification of curricula and expansion in the range of subjects. The expansion of library and sports facilities occurred during these years for the intellectual and physical well being of the students. It was in 1958 that some new Departments in Arts and Social Science faculties were opened; the major expansion, however, came in 1963 when several science and other teaching Departments were started. The Departments were shifted to spacious buildings in the main campus in 1972-73. In later years, several career oriented courses have been started viz., Business Management, Fine Arts, Mass Communication, Library Science, Physical Education, etc.


Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur is inviting applications in the prescribed form from the eligible candidates for the following purely temporary posts to be filled on contractual basis for the period of 11 months

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Registrar
A Master’s Degree with atleast 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of „B‟ in the UGC 7-point scale.
5% relaxation in Master’s Degree to SC/ST & Departmental candidates
A relaxation of 5% is permissible from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. Degree holders, who have passed their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September, 1991
AND
At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs.7000/- and above or with 8 years of services in the AGP of Rs.8000/- and above including as Associate Professor alongwith experience in educational administration.
OR
Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other Institutions of Higher Education.
OR
15 years of Administrative Experience, of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
AND
Candidate should have a “Certificate of D.O.E.A.C. Societies „C.C.C.‟ or „O‟ level or „A‟ level or „B‟ level or „C‟ level or MSCIT or GECT Certificate of Maharashtra State Higher & Technical Education Board” OR a Certificate in Computer Operation prescribed by the Govt. of Maharashtra from time to time. Those who are not having the said Certificate, will have to produce the Certificate within two years from the date of their appointment.

Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology
(i) An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of 7th Pay Commission Government Resolution No. Misc2018/C.R..56/18/UNI-1, dated 8th March, 2019.
(ii) A minimum of FIFTEEN years of teaching experience in university/college as Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor, and/or research experience at equivalent level at the University / National level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate.
An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in ‘A’ above)/industry, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence provided he/she has fifteen years experience.

Dean, Faculty of Commerce & Management
(i) An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of 7th Pay Commission Government Resolution No. Misc2018/C.R..56/18/UNI-1, dated 8th March, 2019.
(ii) A minimum of FIFTEEN years of teaching experience in university/college as Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor, and/or research experience at equivalent level at the University / National level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate.
An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in ‘A’ above)/industry, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence provided he/she has fifteen years experience.

Dean, Faculty of Humanities
(i) An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of 7th Pay Commission Government Resolution No. Misc2018/C.R..56/18/UNI-1, dated 8th March, 2019.

(ii) A minimum of FIFTEEN years of teaching experience in university/college as Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor, and/or research experience at equivalent level at the University / National level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate.
An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in ‘A’ above)/industry, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence provided he/she has fifteen years experience.

Director, Knowledge Resource Centre
(i) A Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale, whenever grading system is followed;
(ii) At least ten years as a Librarian at any level in University Library or ten years of teaching as Assistant/Associate Professor in Library Science or ten years experience as a College Librarian.
(iii) Evidence of innovative library services, including the integration of ICT in a library; and
(iv) A Ph.D. Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science / Archives and manuscriptkeeping.

Completed application form alongwith self-attested copies of certificates/testimonials in NINE SETS and Registration Fee of Rs.500/- for Open-Category, and Rs.300/- for SC/ST/VJ(A)/NT(B/C/D)/OBC & other reserved categories by way of DEMAND DRAFT (non-refundable) drawn in favour of “Finance & Accounts Officer, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur”, shall be submitted to “The Registrar, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Jamnalal Bajaj Administrative Building, Mahatma Jotiba Fule Educational Premises, University Campus Chowk to Ambazari T-Point Marg, Nagpur-440 033 (M.S.), India” on or before 21st May, 2021 up to 5.00 p.m.

Applicants who would be unable to submit Application form in NINE SETS, due to present scenario of COVID-19, may submit a SOFT COPY of duly filled prescribed Application form alongwith SCANNED documentary proofs and a Demand Draft only on E-mail ID : drga@nagpuruniversity.ac.in . However, the hard copies in NINE SETS will have to be submitted before 15 days of date of interview.
