- Expert for educational technology and the role of online and hybrid learning in a multi-disciplinary University or colleges.

Executive Director of Online Learning provides vision, leadership, and operational management of university online programs, including credit and non-credit, and in-service offerings. The Executive Director develops and implements a strategic plan for online, hybrid, and enhanced learning experiences across all University divisions. Key responsibilities also include budget management and resources management, all courses review, new courses or program development, and assessment components of theory, lab, and exams.
Executive Director for online education manages strategic and administrative functions of the Online Programs.
Incumbent needs to have at least 20+ years of experience with a good exposure to various facets of Online Education like Technology LMS, MOOCS, Marketing, Academics and Content Design Experience.
Technology Platform – 35% (LMS, CDN)
Content Development – 25% (Content Creation, Effective Content)
Marketing – 25% (Branding, Digital Mkt, Network & Campaign for Marketing)
Academia & Administration – 15% (Administration, Academic Background, Professor)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide vision and strategic leadership in design, development, implementation, and evaluation of Online learning courses and programs.
- Oversee the entire Learning Management System and manage instructional designers and LMS administrators.
- Leverage and Coordinate the integration of the Information Technology departments various computer applications into online learning.
- Develop relevant online courses and programs in various instructional modalities.
- Work collaboratively with various Department Heads, and Dean Academics and HR to plan course development , course offerings each semester and create faculty performance standards for online courses.
- Responsible for online revenues and increasing profitability by building strategic partnerships.
- Assist faculty in identifying, developing, exploring, and implementing pedagogically relevant instructional strategies that support the advancement of online teaching and learning.
- Evaluate, recommend, select, and adopt technology products related to online learning.
- Deploy resources allocated to maximize student learning and ensure Return on Investment.
- Assess the effectiveness of online learning and make recommendations based on those assessments ensuring quality control for online courses offered.
- Create and evaluate online courses offered to ensure they are pedagogically sound and provide a high-quality learning experience for students.
- Collaborate with the relevant agencies , departments, and bodies to identify external funding sources to support online education at the University.
Technical Support Staff
Instructional Designers for eLearning Content
Strategize engaging learning activities and compelling course content and aesthetics that enhances retention and comprehension. Work with subject matter experts to collate information regarding the subject. Set end goals and objectives. Frame course support material and media (graphics, motion graphics, audio, video, simulations, interactivities, role plays, games etc). Write effective instructional text, audio/video scripts and evaluation mechanisms. Research and up to date on new innovations in both learning design and education.
Education Qualification: Diploma/Degree in instructional designing
Experience: 2-3 years in one or more Instructional Design Frameworks like ADDIE, SAM, Action Mapping, Blooms Taxonomy etc. Experience in creating SCORM content with Articulate 360 or Adobe Captivate. Familiarity with Standards like WCAG, AICC, ADA etc.
eLearning Story Board/Scriptwriters:
Story Boarding and Script Writing for the entire eLearning content development life cycle. Should work closely with the Instructional Designers and document specifications for the content as well as the LMS. Wire-framing graphics, motion graphics and interactive elements of the course.
Education Qualification: BA Experience: 2-3 years in Story Boarding and Script writing for eLearning.
Basic experience with Adobe XD or similar wire-framing softwares. Good command over English language and grammar. Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems.
eLearning Content Writers:
Create/Edit content from SME to improve readability. Create eLearning material in line with Instructional Designers specifications and also following style guides.
Education Qualification: BA
Experience: 2-3 years in content writing for eLearning domain or blogs, articles, product descriptions, social media, and the company website. Good command over English language and grammar. Familiarity with web publications. Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems.
eLearning Proof Readers / QA:
Scrutinize scripts from script writers and content writers. Proof read and edit all learning content on the LMS. Improve by concise and ensure accuracy of the original data. Comply guidelines and style guides.
Education Qualification: BA / Journalism
Experience: 2-3 years in publishing industry as proof reader. Very Good command over English language and grammar.
LMS Authoring Support Executives
Transfer content from specification document to the LMS. Upload images, audio, video, interactive elements, SCORM packages etc., Create titles, modules, paragraphs, tables, assessments, assignments complying to standards and style guides. Setup competencies, learning goals, badges, certificates, announcements, attendance, pre scheduled class meetings etc.
Education Qualification: any Bachelor Degree
Experience: 2-3 years in hands-on experience with major learning management systems and content management systems. Complete knowledge of Authoring in Moodle LMS is critical. Need to know Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360 / Storyline, Camtasia and PowerPoint.
LMS Technical Support/Developer:
Deploying, Hosting and maintaining Moodle Server. Customizing Skinning, Branding, Theming, Plugin Development etc. Load balancing. Troubleshooting technical issues. Maintain and run corn scripts. Configure APIs for AD, ERP and others for SSO.
Education Qualification: BA / Journalism
Experience: 2-3 years hands-on experience with Moodle Learning Management System. Good at PHP, MySQL, HTML, HTML5. Known standards like W3C, WCAG, AICC etc.
Shoot videos and capture audio in a studio environment for eLearning content. Follow camera angles, zoom and other techniques according to the storyboard. Handle lighting and sound. Live broadcasting. Shoot still photos required for any content related to the subject. Maintain Media Backups.
Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in video production and or broadcasting
Experience: 3-5 years hands-on experience in handling studio equipment like, still/video camera, lighting, sound mixing, broadcasting and teleprompter. Need to know video capturing software like OBS and others.
Post production of all raw footage according to the eLearning storyboard. Audio Mixing and mastering. Compositing. Colour correction. Chroma Keying. Storage and Maintenance.
Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in film editing.
Experience: 2-3 years hands-on experience working on Adobe Premier, Adobe Premiere Elements, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Audition, Audacity, Logic ProX, Pro Tools etc.
Creating Stunning Graphics based on the wireframes or sketches provided by eLearning Instructional Designer or Content Developer.
Education Qualification: Degree or diploma in Graphic Design.
Experience: 2-3 years hands-on experience with color theory, typography and creating vector graphics. Need to be sound at design softwares like Adobe Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Corel Draw, InkScape etc
Animators / Motion Graphic Designers
Creating Stunning Motion Graphics and 3D/2D animations based on the storyboards, wireframes or sketches provided by eLearning Instructional Designer or Content Developer
Education Qualification: Degree diploma in 3D/2D graphics.
Experience: 2-3 years hands-on experience working with Motion Graphics Softwares like, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Animate, Apple Motion. 3D/2D Animation Software like, Cinema-4D, Blender Powtoon, Toon Boom Harmony etc.
