🏫 ABOUT INSTITUTION

CEPT University, established in 1962, is focused on understanding, designing, planning, constructing, and managing human habitat. Its teaching programs are designed to build thoughtful professionals and its research programs aim to deepen the understanding of human habitat. CEPT University also undertakes advisory projects to further the goal of making habitats more livable. Faculties at the University function as a collaborative of full-time faculty members and highly engaged practitioners who share teaching and institutional responsibilities. The University comprises five faculties.  The Faculty of Architecture was established as the ‘School of Architecture’ in 1962.  It focuses on design in the private realm.  The Faculty of Planning, focused on planning in the public realm, was established in 1972 as the ‘School of Planning’.  The Faculty of Technology, which concentrates on engineering and construction, was established in 1982 as the ‘School of Building Science and Technology’.  The Faculty of Design was established in 1991 as the ‘School of Interior Design’.  It deals with habitat related interiors, crafts, systems, and products. Faculty of Management was established in 2013 and it focuses on Habitat and Project Management.

🎯 ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Deputy Registrar
Assist the Registrar in establishing and implementing short and long-range university/ department goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates academic program effectiveness, implement changes required for improvement.
Assist the Registrar in developing and managing annual budgets for the University and performs periodic cost and productivity analyses.
Deputy Registrar will support the Registrar in administration and services of the University.
Directs the daily operations of various University Offices; supervises faculty administration, conducting examination and serves as an internal consultant and implements University and Faculty policies.
Will support the Registrar in coordinating students’ admission, registration and records management. To work in a team to develop new programs
Assist the Registrar in coordination, evaluation and certification of all graduation applications, while overseeing the complete convocation process to include all elements of the rehearsal and ceremony.
Oversee the capturing and storage of all types of University data and putting its analyses for the academic and administrative decision making of the university.

Deputy Chief Finance Officer/ Assistant Chief Finance Officer, Finance & Accounts Office
The Deputy Chief Financial Officer will jointly with the CFO, provide the leadership and direction to ensure the development of relevant financial information, and timely financial budgeting, planning and Financial Reporting of the University.
The Deputy CFO will assist the CFO in managing and controlling the University’s financial processes, making the necessary changes to upgrade and improve process, policies or procedures, and develop the team.
Manage, organize and direct assigned operations of the Management of Finance Department.
Assist the CFO in developing, implementing, overseeing, evaluating and auditing finance- related University’s policies and procedures, including purchasing and internal control policies and procedures. Assist in preparing and administering the Faculty/Office’s budget.
To supervise the Quarterly/Annual accounts and Annual Budget estimates of the University.
To oversee the preparation of all financial statements, invoices, proposals, etc as required.
Implementation of MIS reporting structure, review of financial paperwork and procedures and make appropriate changes.
Deputy CFO will ensure accountability and compliance with applicable legal, governmental and regulatory requirements.
Ensure that all assets including cash, investments, inventories, accounts receivable, and fixed assets are accurately reflected.
Ensure the financial infrastructure is stable and supports the demands of University’s future growth.
CEPT University is in process of implementing a new ERP system. Candidate with exposure and experience in implementing an ERP system in Finance and Accounts functions will have an added advantage.
Any other work as assigned by the University from time to time.

Librarian/ Associate Librarian, Library Services
To administer the library and perform all services related the library.
Initiate and carry out assignments related to locating, cataloguing, classifying, selecting, controlling or preserving information and accessing information through standard and automated systems
Collaborate in the development, implementation and revision of the library policies and procedures.
Explain use of the library facilities, resources, equipment, and services, and provide information about library policies.
To coordinate with the Library Team and Library Committee.
Arrange for Inter library loans and membership to other libraries/ Individuals.
To administer the Library events, lectures, exhibitions and book- launch.
Analyse the library operating practices and procedures, online files and processing methods in order to improve the operating effectiveness and efficiency of the library.
Develop operating standards to ensure that the library practices adhere to set standards.
To send relevant information/articles to concerned University officials /faculty members.
Digitization of thesis report etc.

Assistant Campus Engineer, Campus Development office
Checking of works on site in accordance with the drawings and specification
Liaising with the architect regarding construction drawings.
Resolving technical issues with architects, contractor’s representatives, suppliers and statutory authorities.
Monitoring of Quality, safety, progress of execution work.
Measurement and bill certification, checking and maintaining contract related documents and bills.
Preparing technical reports and site diary of day to day work.
Supervising and counselling junior or trainee engineers.
Providing data in respect of variation orders and site instructions
Complete administration work of the site related documents.

Master Craftsman- Workshops
Reporting to the Head, Workshops.
Guide students in making Miniature model and Scale 1:1 prototype for building product, furniture as well as building various materials like wood, steel, acrylic, glass, clay, etc.
Training workshop staff (craftsman of various workshops) for fine quality craftsmanship and precision.
Support tutors to raise standards of workshop-based courses.
Orient students/workshop for the safe use of workshop premise and educate them on ect/systematic methods of making/safety.


🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Deputy Registrar
Master’s Degree in Business Management/ Business Administration or equivalent with minimum 55% marks.
OR
Experienced Academics with a Master’s Degree or equivalent with minimum 55% marks (Preferably with a PhD) working with a reputed University.

Deputy Chief Finance Officer/ Assistant Chief Finance Officer, Finance & Accounts Office CA, Master’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration (Finance), Finance or a related field with at least 55% or an equivalent grade.

Librarian/ Associate Librarian, Library Services
Master’s Degree in Library Science with minimum 18 years of experience in a similar capacity.
AND/OR
Ph.D. in Library Science with minimum 12 years of experience out of which 5 years shall be as Chief Librarian/ Deputy Chief Librarian.

Assistant Campus Engineer, Campus Development office Bachelors of Civil Engineering, Bachelors of Technology in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a similar capacity.

Master Craftsman- Workshops
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Design, Fine Arts or a related field from a well- recognised University/ Institute. Minimum15 years of experience in related field.
