🏫 ABOUT INSTITUTION

Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT), Ranchi has been established by the Jharkhand University of Technology, ACT, 2011 (Jharkhand ACT 18, 2015), published vide gazette No.-815 date08/12/2015. JUT located at Science and Technology campus, Sirkhatoli, Namkum, Ranchi, Jharkhand- 834010. The whole of Jharkhand shall be the territorial jurisdiction under the JUT, Ranchi. JUT is intended to promote the creation of a centre of excellence in education and research in science, Technology, Engineering and Management, Town Planning, Pharmacy, Applied Arts and Crafts, Applied Science and such other programmes or areas as the central Government may in consultation with the All India Council for Technical Education by notification in the Gazette declare and need of Jharkhand.


Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT), Ranchi, established by Jharkhand Act 18, 2015, invites applications in the prescribed Form for the following posts (Teaching & Non-Teaching) purely on Deputation/ Contractual basis for one year or till the regular appointment is done, whichever is earlier

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

  1. Minimum Qualification and experience as prescribed by UGC Regulations / A.I.C.T.E. Regulations (as amended up to date).
  2. Reservation shall be applicable as per the norms of Government of Jharkhand.

Director, Curriculum Development – (on deputation service only)
Age: below 65 Years.
Minimum Qualifications:
a. Ph.D. degree in Science/ Engineering
b. Experience: – The candidate should have at least Six years’ experience as Associate Professor or he/ her shall be full Professor.
Mode of Appointment: –
(a) The Director, Curriculum Development shall be appointed on deputation by the Executive Council of the University on the recommendation of Selection Committee of the University.
(b) The Director, Curriculum Development shall be appointed for a period of one year or till the regular appointment is done, whichever is earlier.
(c) The emoluments shall be such as approved by the State Government from time to time and other terms and conditions of service of The Director, Curriculum Development shall be such as may be prescribed by the Executive Council from time to time

REGISTRAR – (on deputation service only)
Age: below 60 Years.
Minimum Qualifications:
a. A Master’s degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in UGC sevenpoint scale.
b. Experience: – At least 15 years of experience as Lecturer/Assistant Professor or Six years’
experience as Associate Professor or Reader or as Professor along with experience in educational administration/ Directorate.
or
Comparable experience in research establishment and / or other institutions of higher education.
or
At least 15 years of administrative and teaching or administration experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or anequivalent post.
Mode of Appointment: –
(d) The Registrar shall be appointed on deputation by the Executive Council of the University on the recommendation of Selection Committee of the University.
(e) The Registrar shall be appointed for a period of one year or till the regular appointment is done, whichever is earlier.
(f) The emoluments shall be such as approved by the State Government from time to time and other terms and conditions of service of the Registrar shall be such as may be prescribed by the Executive Council from time to time.

FINANCE OFFICER (on deputation service only)
Age: below 60 Years.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria:
The Officer belonging to the State/ Central Finance Service/ Central Revenue Service/ Audit and Account Service.
Mode of Appointment: –
(a) The Finance Officer shall be appointed on deputation by the Executive Council on the recommendations of the Selection Committee of the University.
(b) The Finance Officer shall be appointed for a period of one year or till the regular appointment is done, whichever is earlier.
(c) The emoluments shall be such as approved by the State Government from time to time & other terms and conditions of service of the Finance Officer shall be such as may be prescribed by the Executive Council from time to time

Section Officer (on deputation basis)
Age: Below 45 years
Minimum Qualifications:
a. Graduate in any discipline.
b. Knowledge of Computer Application.
Experience: –
5 (five) years’ experience as Superintendent/Assistant in a State/Central/Deemed University/ Public Sector Undertaking/ Autonomous Organization/ Government
Mode of Appointment: –
(d) The Section Officer shall be appointed on deputation by the Executive Council on the recommendations of the Selection Committee of the University.
(e) The Section Officer shall be appointed for a period of one year or till the regular appointment is done, whichever is earlier.
(f) The emoluments shall be such as approved by the State Government from time to time & other terms and conditions of service of the Section Officer shall be such as may be prescribed by the Executive Council from time to time.

Associate Professor (On deputation or contractual basis)
Age: – Below 55 years.
Eligibility:
Minimum Qualifications:
a) Qualifications as below that is for the post of Assistant Professor, as applicable and Ph.D. in appropriate discipline.
b) Post Ph.D. publications and guiding Ph.D. students is highly desirable.
c) Minimum of 5 years’ experience in teaching/research/industry of which 2 years post Ph.D. experience is desirable.
Desirable Qualifications:
(a) Demonstrative leadership in organizing National/State level seminars/conference/academic activities/ Research establishment.
(b) Demonstrative leadership as one of the Coordinator/ Secretary / EC member of any professional scientific society and handling/ Establishment of high end research equipment like Electron Microscope, Vibrating sample Microscope, Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy and other equipment’s.

Assistant Professor (On deputation or contractual basis)
Age: – Below 50 years
Eligibility:
Minimum Qualifications:
a) B.E/B.Tech & M.E/M.Tech in relevant branch with 1st class or equivalent either in B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech.
Desirable Qualifications:
(a) Ph.D. degree in the relevant area.
(b) He/ She concentrate on Teaching & Research.
(c) Publications of at least 5 research papers in the respective field in peer reviewed Journals as an author/co-author
(d) Demonstrative leadership in organizing National/State level seminars/conference/academic activities.
(e) Demonstrative leadership of handling high end research equipment.


🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE

Pay Scale of Teaching (for deputation) and Non-Teaching (for deputation) employees shall be as per the UGC norms and adopted by Department of Higher & Technical Education, Government of Jharkhand.

📝 HOW TO APPLY

Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 500/- (Five Hundred) as application fee should be in favour of “Jharkhand University of Technology” and should be payable at Ranchi. Application fee exempted for candidates belonging to SC, ST, ‘Persons with Disability’ (PWD) or ‘Physically Challenged’ (PH) category and those applicants who are applying for the Deputation.

Completely filled up Application forms along with DD and one self-addressed stamped envelope (25 cm X 12.5 cm size) should reach to “The Registrar, Jharkhand University of Technology, Science & Technology Campus, Sirkha Toli, Namkum, Ranchi- 834010” by Speed Post/ Registered post or by Hand only on or before 20th march 2021 latest by 5:00 p.m. University will not be responsible for any postal delay at any stage.
