🏫 ABOUT INSTITUTION

Governor of Haryana has approved the establishment of the Haryana State University of Horticultural Sciences (MHU) at village Anjanthali (Karnal) vide Act No. 32 of 2016, thus, the University came into existence on 28th November, 2016. The site for University is situated 21 km from Karnal on national highway number one leading to Ambala at a latitude on 300 N and longitude of 770 E. It is 146 km from Delhi and connected with Nilokheri Railway station.  Haryana is primarily an agrarian state and well known for the production and productivity of wheat and rice. It contributes significantly in grain reserve of the central pool. Since the country has achieved self-sufficiency in grain production and the time has come to think of nutritional security and aesthetic value which requires diversification of agriculture with special emphasis on Horticulture. Because its produce is rich source of fibre, vitamins and minerals which are required for sound physical and mental health.

Professor/equiv. (Floriculture & Landscape Architecture)
Working on analogous post OR i. Doctoral degree in Agriculture/Horticulture with specialization in Floriculture & Landscape Architecture. ii. 10 years’ experience (excluding period spent on Ph.D. during service, subject to a maximum of 3 years) in the relevant subject as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor or equivalent; in the Pay Band-3 of Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/6000/7000/8000 ( pre-revised Rs. 8000-13500) or corresponding revised pay scale and out of which at least 2 years as Associate Professor or in an equivalent position in the pay Band-4 of Rs. 37400-67000 or higher with Grade Pay of Rs. 8700/9000 or corresponding revised pay scale. iii. Evidence of contribution to Research/ Teaching /Extension Educations as supported by published work/patents granted /innovations and Impact respectively. iv. Specialization in relevant field Or An outstanding Scientist/Professional with Ph.D. in relevant discipline from academic’s/research educational institutions and industries accredited by UGC/ICAR and DSIR, respectively with 15 years’ experience in regular position in India.

Professor/equiv. (Fruit Science)
Working on analogous post OR i. Doctoral degree in Agriculture/Horticulture with specialization in Fruit Science. ii. 10 years’ experience (excluding period spent on Ph.D. during service, subject to a maximum of 3 years) in the relevant subject as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor or equivalent; in the Pay Band-3 of Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/6000/7000/8000 ( pre-revised Rs. 8000-13500) or corresponding revised pay scale and out of which at least 2 years as Associate Professor or in an equivalent position in the pay Band-4 of Rs. 37400-67000 or higher with Grade Pay of Rs. 8700/9000 or corresponding revised pay scale. iii. Evidence of contribution to Research/ Teaching /Extension Educations as supported by published work/patents granted /innovations and Impact respectively. iv. Associate Professor/equiv. (Post-Harvest Technology)
Working on analogous post OR i. Doctoral degree inAgriculture/Horticulture with specialization inPost-Harvest Technology. ii. 8 years’ experience (excluding period spent on Ph. D. during service, subject to a maximum of 3 years) in the relevant subject as Assistant Professor or in an equivalent position in the Pay Band-3 of Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/6000/ 7000/8000 (pre-revised Rs. 8000-13500) or corresponding revised pay scale and having made contribution to research/teaching/extension as evidenced by published work/patents granted/innovation and impact, respectively. Or Doctoral degree in Agriculture/Horticulture with minimum 8 years’ experience of high quality post-doctoral research in an institution/organization as evidenced by at least 6 publications (based on post-doctoral research) in journals with NAAS rating of 7.5 or above with first authorship. Desirable: Specialization in relevant field

Assistant Professor (Agricultural Engineering-SWE)
Working on analogous post OR i. Master’s degree with 55% marks in Agricultural Engineering-SWE with specialization in Soil Water & Engineering. ii. Must have passed NET/SLET/SET examination from UGC/ CSIR/ICAR/State. Provided however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D. degree) Regulations, 2009 or the subsequent regulations, if notified by the UGC, shall be exempted from the requirement of minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Prof. or equivalent position in Universities/Colleges/Institutions. Further, the award of degree to candidates registered for the M.Phil./Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bylaws/Regulations of the Institutions awarding the degree and the Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirements of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions: a) Ph.D. Degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only b) Evaluation of the Ph.D. Thesis by at least two external examiners c) Open Ph.D. Viva voce of the candidate had been conducted d) Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D work out of which at least one must be in a referred journal. e) Candidate has made at least two presentations in conferences/ seminars, based on his/her Ph.D. work. Conditions (a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/Pro-ViceChancellor/Dean (Academic Affairs)/ Dean (University instructions). A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and master’s level for the SC/ST/Differently-abled (physically and visually differently-abled)/other Backward Classes (OBC) (Non-creamy layer) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic records during direct recruitment to teaching positions. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace marks procedures.

Comptroller
1. Charted Accountant/ICWA OR M.Com or MBA (Finance) with 55% marks from a recognized University/reputed Institute. 2. Must have 5 years’ experience as Deputy Comptroller/Chief Accounts Officer/equivalent in Grade Pay of Rs. 7600/- in Govt./Semi Govt./Central/State Govt. University. Desirable: Preference will be given to the persons working in State Agricultural Universities and having passed SAS Examination conducted by the State Govt. or Higher Standard Accounts Examination conducted by the University

Assistant Registrar
Working on analogous postin State Universities. OR 1. At least 1st class Graduate with 55% marks in Master’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University. 2. At least 5 years’ experience of working in a Govt./ Semi-Govt. University/Educational Institution/ Deptt./Research Institution/PSU of which at least three years should be in a supervisory capacity as office Supdt./ equivalent and higher. 3. Knowledge of Hindi/Sanskrit upto Matric standard Desirable: Persons passing of SAS/Departmental Higher Standard Examination in Accounts & General Services will be given preference.

Junior Engineer (Civil)
Working on analogous post. OR 1. Diploma Course in Civil Engineering with at least 50% marks from any recognized University/ Institution with at least three years’ experience in Civil side in a Govt./ Semi-Govt. University/ Educational Institution/Deptt./ Research Institution/PSU. OR B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from any recognized University. 2. Knowledge of Hindi/Sanskrit upto Matric Standard.

Senior Scale Stenographer
Working on analogous post OR 1. Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University 2. Two years’ experience as Junior Scale Stenographer in a Govt./SemiGovt.University/Educational Institution/Deptt./Research Institution/PSU. 3. The candidate should be computer literate with Microsoft proficiency, excellent English shorthand speed of 100 WPM and accurate computer typing speed of 40 WPM OR at a speed 80 WPM in Hindi to be transcribed at the speed 25 WPM (4% mistakes permissible). 4. Knowledge of Hindi/Sanskrit upto Matric Standard.

Accounts Clerk
Working on analogous post OR 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from any recognized University. 2. Valid certificate of passing the State Eligibility Test in Computer Application and Applications (SETC) However, the persons who have acquired degree in computers i.e. BCA/MCA/B. Tech/M. Tech. in computer from recognized University/College or diploma in computer in Govt. Polytechnic, HKCL, HARTRON, DOEACC, NIELIT etc. or have done a course in computers from any other reputed institution/agency authorized by Govt. are exempted from SETC. 3. Knowledge of Hindi/Sanskrit upto Matric Standard. Note:- Ex-servicemen who are matriculate (including Ex-servicemen who have obtained Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or the corresponding certificate in the Navy or the Air Force) and have put in not less than years’ service in the Armed Forces of the Union are also eligible to apply and will be considered for posts reserved for Ex-servicemen.

Library Assistant
Working on analogous post. OR 1. B. Lib. Or B.LibI.Sc. from any recognized University. 2. At least 2 years’ office experience as Clerk/ Computer Operator/equivalent of working in a Govt./Semi-Govt. University/ Educational Institution/Deptt./ Research Institution/ PSU. 3. Typing on computer with a speed of 30 w.p.m. 4. Knowledge of Library Software. 5. Knowledge of Hindi/Sanskrit upto Matric standard.

Assistant
Working on analogous post. OR 1. Bachelor’s Degree from recognized University. 2. At least 3 years’ office experience as Clerk/Computer Operator/equivalent of working in a Govt./Semi-Govt. University/Educational Institution/Deptt./Research Institution/PSU. 3. Typing Speed of 30 WPM in English OR computer test at the speed of 7000 depression per hour in MS Word. 4. Knowledge of Hindi/Sanskrit upto Matric Standard.

Lab Assistant
Working on analogous post OR 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Science from a recognized University. 2. Knowledge of Hindi/Sanskrit upto Matric standard.

Store Keeper
Working on analogous post OR 1. Bachelor’s degree from any recognized University. 2. Applications are invited from the eligible and interested candidates working on regular basis in State Universities of Haryana/Govt. Departments/ICAR/UGC for appointment of various teaching and non-teaching posts on deputation basis as per standard terms & conditions of the Haryana State Govt. The applications should reach through proper channel on or before 22.02.2021 at the address “The Registrar, MHU, HTI Campus, Uchani (Karnal). For Details i.e. prescribed qualifications, pay scale, application form, eligibility criteria etc., visit the University website www.mhu.ac.in.

Serving Government Regular Employees must submit their application form (S) duly filled in all respects, alongwith self-attested photo copies of required documents and photo copies of gist of SARs/ACRs for the last ten (10)/available years, duly verified/attested by the HOD through proper channel so as to reach at the address “The Registrar, Maharana Pratap
Horticultural University, at Horticulture Training Institute Campus, Uchani, Karnal- 132001” on or before 22.02.2021. The application forms which are received after due date/not sent through proper channel will not be considered.
Following certificates will be given by the employer/head of office/forwarding authority while forwarding the application form alongwith required documents of faculty teacher concerned:
i. There is no vigilance case pending/contemplated against him/her.
ii. His/her complete SARs for the last 10/available years duly attested by an authorized
officer are enclosed.
iii. His/her Integrity is beyond doubt.
iv. No major/minor penalties imposed on him/her during the last 10 years/list of major/minor
penalties imposed on him/her during the last 10 years is enclosed.
