🏫 ABOUT INSTITUTION

IIT Hyderabad is one among the 2nd generation of IITs started by the Govt. of India. Today IITH offers 9 B.Tech programs, 16 M.Tech programs, 3 M.Sc programs, 5 M.Phil programs, 1 M.Des program and Ph.D. programs in all branches of engineering, science, liberal arts and design. The very foundation of IIT Hyderabad is based on research and innovation. The vibrant research culture is evident from the number of patents and publications that IITH has. At IITH students are given with a plethora of choices, which they diligently choose with the help of a faculty advisor. Courses that last for a semester are almost a foregone story at IITH. From 14-15 academic year onwards all B.Tech programs started offering courses that are of smaller credits; called the fractal academics; very carefully designed to keep the enthusiasm of the students and to keep them in pace with the state of the art from 1st semester till 8th semester. IITH in the past couple of years has been highly successful in building tie-ups with leading academic institutions around the globe. IITH enjoys a very special relationship with Japanese Universities and Industries that goes beyond academic and research collaborations. In fact, some of the iconic buildings in IITH campus will carry the signature of Japanese architecture. i-TIC Foundation is the Technology Business Incubator (TBI) at IIT Hyderabad, with focus on creating a supportive and nourishing environment for entrepreneurs. i-TIC provides the necessary facilities to these startup companies, along with guidance and mentoring by the faculty members of IITH and experts from the industry, to develop a robust ecosystem for entrepreneurship. 🎯 ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Head: Operations
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Looking after day-to-day functioning of the organization
• Managing and leading the nimble team of 10-15 people
• Building organizational processes to run it productively and efficiently
• Supporting the startups at ideation, incubation, acceleration, growth and investment stages
• Building a long term pipeline of good startups under existing programs
• Designing and executing incubation and accelerator programs
• Building partnerships and creating strong networks with other stakeholders like investors, mentors, corporates etc.
• Building the organization brand and to create a unique identity
• Drafting new proposals to govt, corporates for new startup related schemes and programs
“• To create and execute the strategy to make the organization sustainable for the long term
• Owning the responsibility, progress and reputation of the organization and supporting the startups.
• Other tasks assigned by the reporting authorities
Key Skills and Abilities:
• Leadership

• Entrepreneurial mentor support startups
• Due diligence process including reports etc by the funding agencies
• Ability to build relationships with the government, academia, startups, mentors, industry experts, investors and other stakeholders of the industry

Manager: Incubatee Support
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Looking after daily operations of the organization
• Creating a robust process to disburse various grants to the startups
• Creating standardized operating procedures (SOP) for grant disbursement, space allocation, resources to startups, access to labs and equipment, makerlab etc
• Helping the team with drafting funding proposals, MoUs, contracts, employee policies etc
• Budget management and tracking
• Helping the team with purchase, vendor management, payments and billing
• To prepare and submit review documents and maintaining records
• Helping startups with the grant procedures, documentations, disbursement and utilization certifications.
• Lead the operations, finance and account department and their team members
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the reporting authorities
Key Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with ease
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Leadership skills
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Understanding of startup ecosystem and working of incubation centres
• Due diligence paperwork capabilities as per funding agency norms

Executive: Programs & Outreach
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Creating a pipeline of good startups for incubation programs via conducting various outreach activities and events
• Organizing mentorship programs and other sessions for startups
• Creating a calendar of events which includes mentor sessions, outreach events, roadshows, workshops, boot camps, investor sessions, hackathons, maker events etc
• Attending ecosystem events and conferences to build a strong network of startups, investors, mentors etc
• Helping the stakeholders and guests with the facility tours and startup interactions
• Helping the operations and account team with vendor management and vendor communications
• Any other assigned tasks by the superiors
Key Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to own and manage the events from conception to end
• Good articulation and networking skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in hand
• Ability to work under tight deadlines

Executive: Digital Marketing
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Creating graphical and video content for the organization and early stage startups for social media, events, flyers, conferences, etc
• Designing social media campaigns and digital marketing strategies
• Creating and managing social media calendar for posting the content on various handles
• Increase the reach of the organization on digital platforms, social media, search engines by designing organic and promotional campaigns
• Owning the responsibility of all social media pages of the organization, engagement with the audience and answering their queries
• Managing the websites of the organization and updating it regularly
• Helping the startups with creating their social media pages, hand holding them with their strategies, and help them to execute it
Key Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to brainstorm and execute visually appealing graphics
• Ability to work on graphics and video tools effectively
• Ability to manage social media handles with expertise in social media tools
• Ability to understand the target audience

Executive: Accounts
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Managing the accounts, taxation and billing operations of the organization
• Create standard operating procedures (SOP) for purchase, billing, reimbursements and payments
• Helping the team with the procurement of goods and equipment according to the organization policies
• Managing the funds from various grants and programs
• Helping the operations team to manage various activities like payroll, travel reimbursements, office and equipment maintenance, vendor management etc
Key Skills and Abilities:
• An eye for details
• Good with Microsoft excel and spreadsheets
• Ability to manage multiple projects and accounts with ease

Maker Lab Technical Assistant
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Operating Makerlab machines like 3D printers, laser cutter, Vinyl cutter, 3D scanner, CNC router etc.
• Maintenance of the space, equipment, raw materials and facilities of the lab
• Procurement, stocking and tracking usage of the raw materials and other consumables
• Training and guiding the makers, students and startups on the usage of machines and equipment
• Using the CAD designing, CAM and other machine softwares
• Build and execute a Standard Operating Procedure(SOP) for booking and usage of machines and equipment
• Work towards the sustainability of the makerlab by engaging corporates, industries, etc and generating revenues from usage of machines
Key Skills and Abilities:
• Passionate about machines and how stuff works
• Good understanding of machine operations and maintenance
• Self learner
• Understanding of maker community
• Problem solver


🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Head: Operations
• Graduate in science or engineering background
• Post graduate in Business or Technical background
• Minimum 5 years of experience running his own startup or in the startup ecosystem like incubators/accelerators/consulting/policy making etc.
• Experience in managing complex and high intensity programs preferred
• A successful exit from his/her startup would be a plus point

Manager: Incubatee Support
• Graduate in science or engineering background. MBA preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the startup ecosystem like incubators/ accelerators/ consulting/ policy making etc.
• Experience in managing operations and financial aspects of an incubator
• Experience in writing proposals and reports

Executive: Programs & Outreach
• Graduate from a recognized university
• One year of work experience in the startup ecosystem or in the startup company
• Experience in managing events, conducting programs, coordination with various stakeholders or into business development, sales and marketing of a startup company
• Understanding of the startup ecosystem

Executive: Digital Marketing
• Graduate from a recognized university
• Expertise in digital media
• 1 years of relevant work experience in managing digital media, social media marketing (SMM) and search engine optimization (SEO)
• Knowledge and work experience in graphics and video editing softwares

Executive: Accounts
• Commerce graduate from a recognized university
• 2 years of experience in accounts and finance department of a company
• Experience in managing taxation, reports, audits, compliances
• Experience in working with accounting softwares

Maker Lab Technical Assistant
• Graduate with engineering background
• One year of experience in operating and maintaining the machines
• Knowledge and experience of CAD and other engineering softwares
• Experience in makerlab would be a plus point


🏆 PAY SCALE / REMUNERATION / SALARY / EMOLUMENT

  • Head: Operations Consolidated Pay of Rs. 1,50,000/- per month.
  • Manager: Incubatee Support Consolidated Pay of Rs. 80,000/- per month.
  • Executive: Programs & Outreach Consolidated Pay of Rs. 40,000/- per month
  • Executive: Digital Marketing Consolidated Pay of Rs. 40,000/- per month.
  • Executive: Accounts Consolidated Pay of Rs. 40,000/- per month.
  • Maker Lab Technical Assistant Consolidated Pay of Rs. 30,000/- per month.
