  • PhD in Hospital/Health Care Management desirable.
  • An outstanding manager/corporate executive who has worked in hospital/health care industry and has established a reputation, and who has made significant contribution to knowledge, but not having a Ph.D. degree, will also be considered.

Assistant Professor Centre for Agriculture and Rural Development (CARD)

  • Education:Ph.D in Agriculture and allied disciplines including Agri-business Management or  Rural Development / Rural Management and related area
  • Domain Experience:
    • 15 years of training and / or development research and/ or management consulting. 
    • Experience of training practicing managers or policy makers or development officials from agriculture and allied sectors. 
    • The training experience must include program design, curriculum development, execution of programmes and delivery of sessions.
    • The research experience desired is more towards development/ applied research and not pure research. Proven research work in the areas of agricultural policy, Governance, monitoring of schemes and programmes, evaluation studies and impact assessment are desirable. 
    • Management consulting experience may include Government advisory through establishment of Project Management Units, Transaction Advisory etc. Project management experience in handling grant projects from reputed International donors is an added advantage.
    • Experience in conceptualizing and developing projects/training professionals and securing sponsors is essential.

Position : Assistant Professor / Manager-Strategic Partnerships and Funder Relations

Job Description 
Invites applications from outstanding individuals who have experience in funder management and partnership development, particularly securing funding opportunities with governments, multilateral institutions, and international foundations, in addition to monitoring the grants for compliance.
About the role
The candidate will actively coordinate with the Centre Director and faculty members to drive Centre’s efforts on fundraising and partnerships development. This position occupies a mid-management tier at the Centre.
Responsibilities

  1. Build and deepen the funder base
  2. Examine and assess prospective funders to identify their key messages, investment priorities, business objectives, and areas of shared value
  3. Build relationships with priority funders across government, foundations, corporate and individual philanthropies, over the next few years, so that the Centre emerges as the first port of call for the funders for any project
  1. Develop key communication messages directed at the funder community, which include concept notes, letters of intent, and other communication materials
  2. Provide support to leadership team, staff, and volunteers with key messages for prospective funders, wherever appropriate
  3. Research and explore new funding opportunities
  4. Constantly scan leads on new WASH funding opportunities that are of relevance to ASCI. Follow up on leads to further investigate the fit and value-add, based on which:
  • Respond to a call for consultant, proposal, or financial award (or)
  • Seek to forge a relationship, aimed at securing funding
  • Scan and research opportunities across subscribed mailing lists, calls for proposals, leads from Faculty and database
  • Lead proposal writing efforts
  • Scan and research call for proposals for fit and submit high-quality proposals
  • Project-manage the development of proposal content and submission, for both solicited and unsolicited proposals
  • Oversee grants & Agreements
  • Support project managers to ensure the needs of the funder and conditions of the grant are met, particularly towards drafting progress narrative or financial reports
  • Review contracts, assess funder requirements and negotiate agreements, organize kick off meetings and set up project reporting systems to transition successful proposals to completed projects
  • Maintain funder relationships throughout the grant: ensure submission of timely reports, on-time communication of changes/problems, and compliance as per funder’s requirements
  • Annual fund development strategy
  • Set up and maintain systems to project, track, and report funder revenue activity to the board and staff periodically

Qualifications 

  • Education: Graduate / Postgraduate (preferred) degree in business management or other similar domains 
  • Work Experience: 
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in fundraising 
  • A proven track record of raising funds from diverse set of funders such as foundations, CSRs, etc.  
  • Strong experience in drafting proposals in line with funder expectations
  • Experience in sourcing business opportunities from the government
  • Relationships with known funders in development sector will be seen as an added advantage

Job Description – Sanitation

Invites applications from outstanding professionals – who have the enthusiasm and sense of urgency to effect change with domain knowledge in urban sanitation. Wastewater management, non- sewered sanitation and decentralized wastewater management are priority areas.
About the role
The chosen candidate in this position will lead a team to drive Centre’s efforts on urban sanitation and is expected to report to the Director or a designated officer. This position occupies a mid-management tier at the Centre.

Responsibilities

  • Field Level Project Implementation: Ensure proper planning and successful execution of all the Centre’s field implementation projects across urban sanitation and allied sectors.
  • Policy Advisory and Advocacy: Advise the government in developing national & state policies focused on urban sanitation and support governments on the implementation of the same.
  • Business Development: Meet the planned business development goals by building and fostering partnerships and by obtaining funding for new projects from varied stakeholders.
  • Teaching: Provide capacity-building support in urban sanitation and other fields to key decision-makers and ensure delivery of academic programs (diplomas and masters).
  • Research: Demonstrate intellectual depth for high-quality action research, lead interdisciplinary research and teaching collaborations, and deliver cutting-edge research in the broad fields of urban sanitation.
  • Organization Development: Contribute to organizational/administrative activities, act as a liaison and advisor to the organization’s leadership and facilitate internal capability building initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Education: Post Graduation or Ph.D – in Environmental Engineering / Environmental Science/Urban Planning or any other closely related discipline with specialisation in non-sewer sanitation/feacal sludge and septage management/decentralized waste water management.
  • Work Experience:
  • About 8 years of sector experience across teaching and research in urban sanitation. Experience in non-sewer sanitation, feacal sludge and septage management and decentralized waste water management is an added advantage.
  • Experience in policy development
  • Experience in the design and delivery of urban sector trainingprograms to practitioners
  • Experience in sourcing business opportunities including training, consultancy and research assignments
  • appointment is renewable subject to satisfactory performance.  The age of superannuation is 60 years.

  • Experience in sourcing business opportunities including training, consultancy and research assignments

🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE

  • Associate Professor: Pay scale 134420 – 235830 & Gross Pay per Month Rs.236579/- at minimum of scale.
  • Assistant Professor: Pay scale 55520 – 97470 & Gross Pay per Month Rs.97715/- at minimum of scale.

Higher emoluments may be considered for exceptionally deserving candidates.The positions carry a number of benefits apart from the gross pay, such as Conveyance Allowance (1680 – 4500), Contributory PF @12% of Basic + DA, Leave Encashment, Medical, LTA and family accommodation in campus in lieu of HRA. These appointments are on a contractual basis, initially for a period of three years, subject to probation of one year and fulfillment of specified work norms. After three years the appointment is renewable subject to satisfactory performance.  The age of superannuation is 60 years.
