Established by the State Legislature Act 28 of 2014 on July 24, 2014, CSRU has a sprawling campus of 75 acres situated 2 kilometres from Gohana Bypass, Jind. The university was established with the vision of imparting quality education by creating most conducive ambience for the production and dissemination of knowledge guided by innovative thinking, scientific enquiry, sublime human values, sustainable ecology, and democratic ethos. The aim of the University is the cultivation of citizens with a rich awareness of our heritage to lead and serve in every sphere of human activity.The University is affiliated u/s 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 vide letter no. 9-12/2014 (CPP-I/PU) dated 26 September, 2014 and is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities. The University is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 12(B) of the UGC Act to be eligible for central assistance on 03.01.2018. In a short span of four years, the university has many achievements to its credit.
Assistant Professors in various disciplines on contract basis are required to be engaged as a stop-gap arrangement in the disciplines mentioned below for the academic session 2020-21. 🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT
DETAILS OF QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR THE POSTS OF ASSISTANT PROFESSOR:
Qualification for the Post of Assistant Professor:
Eligibility (A or B):
I. A Master‘s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
II. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards
and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET :
Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Byelaws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions :-
a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode;
b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;
c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;
d) The Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal;
e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC / ICSSR/ CSIR or any similar agency.
The fulfilment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or the Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned.
Note: NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET.OR
The Ph.D degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) the Times Higher Education (THE) or (iii) the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).
Criteria for determining Good Academic Record:
For determining good academic record, a candidate should either have average of 55% marks in two of the three examinations (not below Matric or equivalent) prior to Master’s degree or 50% marks in each of these two examinations separately. The following relaxation will, however, operate:
i) Candidate having 55% or above marks in MA/M.Sc./LLM in relevant subject and possessing Ph.D. Degree.
The criteria of good academic record will not apply at all
ii) Candidates having 55% or above marks in MA/M.Sc./LLM in the relevant subject and possessing M. Phil. degree Should have 50% marks in one of the lower exams i.e. B.A. Final/Prep/10+2/Matric
iii) Candidates obtaining first class First in the University in the relevant subject in MA/M.Sc./LLM
- B.Ed., B. Lib. & Inf. Science, L.L.B. and BJMC are the lower examinations for determining Good Academic Record wherever M.Ed., M. Lib. & Inf. Science, L.L.M. and MJMC are the required essential qualifications, respectively.
- NET in Statistics and Computer Applications conducted by ICAR will be considered equivalent to NET in Computer Science conducted by UGC for selection to the post of Assistant Professor in the subject of Computer Science.
Note: The qualifications as prescribed by the UGC/Haryana Government from time to time shall be applicable.
🏆 SALARY / REMUNERATION / PAY SCALE ₹
The consolidated remuneration will be Rs. 57,700/- per month. However, in case for the post of Assistant Professor, the eligible candidates are not available on the date fixed for interview, the condition of NET/SLET/Ph.D. shall be relaxed, and such selected candidates will be paid a consolidated remuneration to be decided by the competent authority at the time of Interview
