Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is the statutory university established by the Govt. of Gujarat under the   Gujarat National Law University Act, 2003 . The University is recognized by the  Bar Council of India (BCI)  and the University Grants Commission (UGC) (2f & 12B) . 🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Assistant Professor of Social Work
Roles and Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the Head (Dean) – Academic Affairs and over all supervision of the Registrar and the Director, you shall perform the following roles and responsibilities:
(i) Conduct teaching according to the GNLU Academic Regulations and Rules with an aim to achieve the highest possible academic and research standards of the University;
(ii) Provide teaching and research assistance to Professors and Associate Professors;
(iii) Plan, develop, undertake teaching, research, extension and training activities in consultation with other departments and external institutions, as required, to deliver quality and effective public and private services of the University and achieve the GNLU vision;
(iv) Actively participate in developing high standards of curriculum in accordance with the emerging trends and in response to the interdisciplinary developments in relevant area;
(v) Organize student centric workshops, training, conferences, round table discussions in relevant area;
(vi) Develop, plan, execute, monitor and report interdisciplinary research in collaboration with external universities, institutions, government departments, industrial and economic agencies, judiciary within India and abroad;
(vii) Contribute to academic and research deliverables in various accreditation processes, such as the Bar Council of India, the University Grants Commission; (viii)Participate in teaching and research at the University and the joint courses organized with external institutions, in consultation with the Curriculum Committee;
(ix) Undertake training and awareness programs for various communities, institutions, individual groups, etc. on sociolegal issues;
(x) Undertake survey on a regular basis to prepare reports, documents for the perusal of the policy-making institutions; (xi) Perform any other duties including administrative, coordination, etc. as required to achieve the aims and objectives of the University.
Essential Criteria:
(i) Master’s degree in Social Work with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be.
(iii) Minimum five years’ of teaching experience preferably in premier law universities.
Highly desirable:
(i) Awarded Ph.D. degree in the relevant area. (ii) Excellent inter-personal and team-building skills; (iii) Ability to innovate and to improve academic programmes or services and to pursue interesting new ideas and new methods;

Assistant Director of Physical Education & Sports
Roles and Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Registrar and overall guidance of the Director, shall
perform the following roles and responsibilities:
(i) Responsible for Sports and Physical training related activities for the University students and staff.
(ii) To lead and self-start with zeal for excellent establishment of Sports Infrastructure.
(iii) A sports enthusiast with national and international level sports participant.
(iv) Knowledge of modern Hi-Tec Sports facilities and equipment and its installation and utilization.
(v) Knowledge of Yoga & Gymnasium activities.
(vi) Knowledge of First-Aid.
(vii) Perform any other Administrative duties as assigned by the University Authorities.
Essential Criteria:
(i) A Master’s Degree in Physical Education and Sports or Physical Education or Sports Science with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a pointscale, wherever the grading system followed).
(ii) Record of having represented the University/College at the Inter-university/ InterCollegiate competitions or the State and/or
National Championships.
(iii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree
in Physical Education or Physical Education and Sports or Sports Science in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be.
(iv) Five years’ of experience in the University.
(v) Ability to conceptualize and organize national and international level Sports fest/events in the University level.
Highly desirable:
(i) Awarded Ph.D. degree in the relevant area.
(ii) Experience in national/international level institute.
(iii) Capacity to visualize and execute new ideas and projects in relevant area

Campus Facility Supervisor
Essential Qualification
(i) Diploma in any discipline from recognized University/Institute;
(ii) The candidate shall have more than ten years of experience in construction and civil works supervising and in which at least one year of experience shall be in the University;
(iii) Good knowledge of AUTOCAD, Excel and MS Office.
Roles and Responsibilities: Under the guidance of Head, Procurement and overall supervision of the Director/Registrar, the incumbent shall perform the following duties;
(i) Ensure efficient and cost effective management of all spaces and facilities;
(ii) Manage and maintain all areas of campus to a standard that is conducive to excellence in learning and teaching;
(iii) Plan, organize, coordinate and direct activities related to maintaining and operating the facilities;
(iv) Schedule, plan, organize and manage staff responsible for maintenance, repair, and upkeep of buildings and facilities;
(v) Maintain all necessary documentation related to campus;
(vi) Ensure compliance with applicable codes, laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures;
(vii) Ensure health and safety obligations are complied with by facility staff and independent contractors;
(viii)Act as point of contact for internal and external groups using facility;
(ix) Coordinate procurement of equipment, supplies and materials to perform required duties effectively and efficiently;
(x) Prepare and complete various forms, reports, correspondence, purchase orders etc;
(xi) Promote the facility to maximize its utilization;
(xii) Manage major and minor building construction and repair projects;
(xiii)Ensure proper lighting, electricity, ventilation, air-conditioning etc. in all parts of the campus;
(xiv)Ensure excellent cleanliness in the entire campus;
(xv) Ensure efficient and effective Garden maintenance, and Services like Canteen, Cafeteria, Gymnasium, Security and House Keeping;
(xvi)Perform any other duties assigned by the University authorities to achieve the aims and objectives of the University

Head Nurse
Essential Qualification
(i) Master/Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Nursing from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Government;
(ii) Valid Registration Certificate;
(iii) The candidate shall have more than ten years of experience in working in the reputed Hospitals and in which at least five years of experience shall be in the University.
Highly desirable
(i) Good knowledge of English language;
(ii) Good knowledge of functioning of basic computer system.
Roles and Responsibilities: Under the guidance of Medical Officer and overall supervision of the Director/Registrar, the incumbent shall perform the following duties;-
(i) Ensure the efficient and accurate delivery of consultation and necessary healthcare to the students and staff at GNLU;
(ii) Maintain all medical records of the patients on routine basis;
(iii) Ensure that the first aid and emergency medicines required in the clinic are available at all the times, to meet any urgent medical needs;
(iv) Report all the matters of importance/seriousness, pertaining to students’ healthcare or any general potential hazards at all the times;
(v) Ensure proper health care to students’ from time to time on problems being faced or as and when the circumstances demand through consultation and awareness programs;
(vi) Provide the details/history of the patient to their parents, if require with prior permission of the University authorities;
(vii) Comply with occupational health & safety requirements as per the government norms;
(viii) Overall management and administration of the healthcare center;
(ix) Provide guidance and suggestions for improvement of medical facilities on the campus on regular basis;
(x) Perform any other duties assigned by the University authorities to achieve the aims and objectives of the University
