💼 ABOUT INSTITUTION

Gujarat Vidyapith was founded by Mahatma Gandhi in 1920 and is a Deemed to be University since 1963. The objectives of the Vidyapith are to impart higher education for preparing grass root workers with character and competency, and educate them for movements connected with social reconstruction in the country. Adherence to truth and non-violence, participation in productive work with a sense of dignity of labour, respect for all religions, creed and communities, social and economic equity, and above all priority for rural reconstruction are emphasized in all curricula. Education is largely imparted in mother-tongue i.e. Gujarati. However, in exceptional cases learning and guiding in Hindi and English are allowed.

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Registrar
Essential:
(i) Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
(ii) At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the Academic Level 11 and above or with 08 years of service in Academic Level 12 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration,
Or
Comparable experience in research establishment and / or other institutions of higher education,
Or
15 years of administrative experience, of which 08 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
Desirable:
(i) Knowledge, flair, and aptitude in Gandhian literature and philosophy.
(ii) Experience of working in a Trust.

Finance Officer
Essential:
(i) Master’s Degree in Commerce / MBA (Finance) with at least 55% marks or equivalent in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
(ii) At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the Academic Level 11 and above or with 08 years of service in Academic Level 12 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration,
Or
Comparable experience in research establishment and / or other institutions of higher education or in Indian Audit and Accounts Services.
Or
15 years of administrative experience, of which 08 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
Desirable:
(i) Knowledge, flair, and aptitude in Gandhian literature and philosophy.
(ii) CA or ICWA.

Internal Audit Officer (Deputation basis only)
Officers from lndian Audit and Accounts Service or other organized service of Central state Government in
the Pay Matrix Level 12 – Rs.78,800-2,09,200

Assistant Registrar
Essential:
Master’s degree with at least 55% of marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed, shall continue to be in force.
Desirable:
(i) 5 years of experience in the Pay Matrix- Pay Level 07 in areas like Administration/Finance & Accounts, Establishment/ Examination in Central/ State Government, Universities or other organizations under State/Central Government.
(ii) Knowledge, flair, and aptitude in Gandhian literature and philosophy.
(iii) Working knowledge of computer.

Section Officer
Essential:
(i) Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University with working knowledge of computer
(ii) 3 years’ experience as Assistant Section Officer/Assistant or equivalent in Pay Matrixpay level 06 in the Central/State Government/ PSU/Statutory/Autonomous Bodies;
Desirable:
(i) Master’s degree from a recognized Institution/ University.
(ii) Experience of working in a Gandhian institution and/or having knowledge of Gandhian philosophy.

Assistant
Essential:
(i) Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University.
(ii) 03 years’ experience as UDC or equivalent in Pay Matrix Pay Level 4 in the Central/State Government/ PSUs/ Statutory Autonomous Bodies.
(iii) Working knowledge of computer.
Desirable:
Experience of working in a Gandhian institution and/or

Personal Assistant (Gujarati Stenography)
Essential:
(i) A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized University/Institute.
(ii) Two years’ experience as Stenographer in Pay Matrix level 4 in a University / Research establishment / Central / State Govt. / PSU / autonomous body.
(iii) Gujarati Stenography speed: 100 wpm in Gujarati.
(iv) Gujarati Type speed: 30 w.p.m. in Gujarati. Skill Test Norms on Computer
Dictation: 10 minutes @ 100 w.p.m.
Transcription: 55 minutes (Gujarati).
Desirable:Experience of working in a Gandhian institution and/or having knowledge of Gandhian philosophy. Proficiency in English and good communication skills.

Warden
Essential:
Second Class Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized University/ Institute, with five years of experience of managing hostel in University/College/Institute.
Desirable:
(i) At least one year’s experience in Buniyaadi educational institution
(ii) Experience of working in a Gandhian institution and/or having knowledge of Gandhian philosophy.

Upper Division Clerk (UDC)
Essential:
(i) Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.
(ii) Two year’s experience in Pay Matrix Pay Level 02 as Jr. Office Assistant/ Jr. Assistant/LDC/ Computer Operator/ Data Entry operator in the Central/ State organization /University institute, funded by the Govt./PSU/ Educational Organization recognized by the State/Central Govt.
(iii) Typing skill in Gujarati and English on computer.

Lower Division Clerk (LDC)
Essential:
(i) Graduate in any discipline or equivalent from a recognized University / Institute.
(ii) Skill Test Norms: Typing speed of 30 words per minute in Gujarati or 35 words per minute in English on Computer
Desirable:
Candidates qualifying for typing in English should have ability to type in Gujarati.

Applicants must send ONE hard copy of the application by R.P.A.D./Speed Post/Courier (including postal processing days) to the “Recruitment Cell, Gujarat Vidyapith, Ashram Road, Nr. Income Tax, Ahmedabad -380014” or in-person in Central Office, Gujarat Vidyapith, Ahmedabad – 380014 on or before office hours of 11.12.2020 along with receipt of the application fees paid, and all self-attested testimonials, certificates wherever required or else the application will not be considered. Applicants must produce original testimonials, certificates and other documents on or before interview/written test/skill test, if called.
