🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Assistant Professor
For Assistant Professor (Statistics)
Master degree in statistics with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university or candidate having relevant experience may also apply.
For Assistant Professor (Defence and Strategic Studies)
Master degree in Defence and Strategic Studies or any allied field with 55% marks (or an
equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a
concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from
an accredited foreign university or candidate having relevant experience may also apply.
Assistant Professor (Statistics) and (Defence and Strategic Studies)
Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET:
Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bye-laws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfilment of the
following conditions: –
a) Awarded Ph.D. Degree in a regular mode;
b) Evaluated Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners;
c) Conducted open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate;
d) Published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal by the Candidate;
e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph. D work in conferences/seminars sponsored/ funded/supported by the UGC / ICSSR/ CSIR or any similar agency.
The fulfilment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or the Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned.
Note:NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET.

The University retains the discretion not to make any appointment to this vacancy, to make an appointment at a revised remuneration, or to make an appointment with a modified job description and to fix revised qualification, experience, remuneration and requirements.

Desirable Qualification:

  1. Teaching, Research and / or professional experience from reputed organization
  2. Papers presented / published at Conferences and / or in refereed journals
  3. Proficiency in English and working knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi.
  4. Ability to meet the timelines
  5. Excellent research skills
  6. Ability to prepare reports/papers on various assignments.
  7. Experience of research in relevant area
  8. Preference will be given to female candidates on the merit base.

Section Officer
A Master’s degree from recognized University.
Minimum five years’ experience as Senior Assistant or equivalent in Academic or Human Resources or Procurement & Support or Examination at any Central /State Government University/PSU and other Central or State Autonomous Institutions

Forest Officer
A bachelor’s degree from recognized University or any equivalent degree in forestry from any University, Institution or Deemed University recognized by Government of India or Government of Gujarat for this purpose or minimum 10 years’ relevant experience.

Assistant Placement Officer
Post-graduates (preferably MBA) with at least three years’ experience in HR/Recruitment/staffing/Placement cell of an institute.
Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Ability to lead and train staff and/or students.

Alumni Relation Officer
Graduate/ postgraduate (preferably MBA) with at least one years’ experience from recognized University.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to plan, organize, and facilitate a range of special events.
Ability to design and write promotional material.
Ability to plan and implement promotional programs.
Ability to recruit, train and motivate volunteers.

Administrative Officer
A candidate having Bachelor’s degree from recognized University.
Minimum three years’ experience in Budget/ Finance/Audit/ Academic/ Placement/ campus development & maintenance/ administration in academic-research institute setup/ Government/Semi Government/ Public or Private University/institutions.
Professional competence includes knowledge of functioning of academic/research institution
Knowledge of academic and administrative rules and regulation
Ability to work with government and academic departments and offices;

DTP Operator
Candidate having bachelor’s degree in any discipline and Certificate/Diploma in Desk Top Publishing from a recognized Institute/reputed private Institute with minimum two years’ Experience in relevant field.

Campus Development Officer
Bachelor’s Degree (Civil) from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification with minimum of fifteen years of experience in Campus Development of Central level/ state level University or any Higher Educational Institute.

Administrative Assistant cum Coordinator
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with three years’ experience in administrative/ academic/ research.
Excellent knowledge of computer system with ability of Guajarati and English typing.
Ability to innovate and to improve programmes or services and to pursue new ideas and methods
Excellent communication skills
Fluency in English language

Hostel warden (Boys & Girls)
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from recognized University with minimum five years’ experience in relevant field preferably in academic institution/Government/Semi Government/ private institutions.
Should have adequate knowledge of computer

Research Associate
A candidate having Master degree with 55% marks in the subject specialization related to National security/Police science from recognized University.

Administrative Assistant
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with minimum three years’ administrative/ academic experience.
Excellent knowledge of computer system with ability of Guajarati and English typing.
Ability to innovate and to improve programmes or services and to pursue new ideas and methods

Motor Transport Manager
Candidate having diploma in automobile engineering or ITI Motor vehicle mechanic or equivalent with minimum three years’ relevant experience.
Excellent knowledge of computer system with ability of Guajarati and English typing.
Ability to innovate and to improve programmes or services and to pursue new ideas and methods

Library and Information Assistant
Graduation in any discipline from recognized university
Master of Library & Information Science / Master of Library Science or equivalent from any recognized university
Three years’ experience (Post Qualification) in the library

Coordinator
Candidate having graduate from any recognized University
Excellent knowledge of computer system with ability of English and Hindi typing

📝 HOW TO APPLY

All the candidates are expected to download from RRU website (SFSRM Webpage), duly fill and bring along with them the “Brief Profile Form” for the interview. The Form should be neatly and legibly filled or typed preferably in at least 12 Garamond font size.

Candidate has to download the brief profile of the candidate for teaching or non-teaching staff for walk-in-interview from the RRU website. Filled the form for the same and produce at the time of document verification with all necessary documents with true copy.

Reporting time for walk in Interview is mentioned in the aforementioned table. No candidate shall be considered after given reporting time.

The candidates are required to bring three copies of their resume with photograph, affixed on all copies, original and one set of photocopy of their Academic certificates, Experience certificate and other documents.

COVID-19 Guidelines to be followed during the walk-in-interview as per Annexure-II. Candidate has to submit the Corona self-declaration form to security before entering in to the premises of the University as per Annexure-III.

Candidate has to download the brief profile of the candidate for teaching or non-teaching staff for walk-in-interview from the RSU website. Filled the form for the same and produce at the time of document verification with all necessary document with true copy.

COVID-19 Guidelines to be followed during the walk-in-interview

  1. Candidate will not be allowed for walk-in-interview, if he/she has any COVID like symptoms. He/ she has to submit the attached declaration from before entering in the premises.
  2. Candidates having transportation problem or he/she is from containment zone and need not to come for walk-in-interview till declaration of non-containment zone as per the defined by Government such candidate wants to appear in the walk-in interview then he/she has to send the notification for the proof of containment zone declared by Government and will
    have to inform the same to this office through e-mail on ar.admin@rsu.ac.inon or before 21 August 2020. University may decide to conduct the walk-in interview through online mode. Online interview will not consider after 21 August 2020.
  3. Face-mask is compulsory & installed Arogya setu APP in his/her mobile throughout the process of walk-in-interview
  4. Any Luggage will not be allowed within the premises during walk-in-interview. It should be keep outside the premises.
  5. Accompanying person(s) will not be allowed within the premises during the entire walk-in interview. All the Candidates must have to follow the guidelines of GoG & GoI for social distancing & other pertaining to COVID-19 which is published from time to time by Government.
