πŸ’Ό ABOUT INSTITUTION

The Kerala Public Service Commission is a body created by the Constitution of India. The Commission advise the Government on all matters relating to civil services referred to it under Article 320 (3) of the Constitution and publish notifications inviting applications for selection to various posts as per the requisitions of the appointing authorities, conduct written test and/or practical tests, physical efficiency test and interview, prepare ranked list based on the performance of the candidates and advise candidates for appointment strictly based on their merit and observing the rules of reservation as and when vacancies are reported. The Head Office of the Kerala Public Service Commission is situated at Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram, the State Capital.

πŸŽ“ QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Assistant Professor Obstetrics & Gynaecology
(i) Medical Post Graduate Degree such as MD/MS from a recognized university/ DNB in the concerned discipline.
(ii) Three years Teaching Experience or such other teaching experience as prescribed by the Medical Council of India.
(iii) Permanent Registration under State Medical Council (Travancore Cochin Medical Council)

Assistant Professor Cardiology

  1. DM (Cardiology)/DNB(Cardiology)
  2. Three years Teaching Experience or such other Teaching experience as prescribed by the Medical Council of India.
  3. Permanent Registration under State Medical Council (Travancore – Cochin Medical Council).

Assistant Professor Nephrology

  1. DM (Nephrolology)/DNB (Nephrology)
  2. Three years Teaching Experience or such other Teaching experience as prescribed by the Medical Council of India.
  3. Permanent Registration under State Medical Council (Travancore – Cochin Medical Council)

Assistant Professor in Reproductive Medicine

  1. M.Ch/DNB (Super Speciality) in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery.
  2. In the absence of the above, MS/MD/DNB(O&G)and Fellowship of National Board/post doctoral fellowship/ Special training in Reproductive Medicine for two years in a recognized teaching/ training centre.
  3. (i)Requisite recognized specialization qualification in the subject and (ii)Three years teaching experience in Reproductive Medicine in a recognized Medical College as Resident/Registrar/Demonstrator/Tutor.
    OR
    Three years teaching experience in Reproductive Medicine in a recognized teaching/training centre as
    Resident Registrar/Demonstrator/Tutor.
  4. Permanent Registration under State Medical Council (Travancore – Cochin Medical Council)

Assistant Professor in Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery

  1. M.Ch. (Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery)/DNB (Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery)/M.Ch. (Cardiac Surgery)/M.Ch. (Thoracic-Surgery).
  2. Three years Teaching experience or such other Teaching experience as prescribed by the Medical Council of India.
  3. Permanent Registration under State Medical Council (Travancore-Cochin Medical Council)

Assistant Professor in Orthopaedics

(I) Medical Post Graduate Degree such as MS from a recognized University/ DNB in the concerned discipline.
(ii)Three years Teaching Experience or such other teaching experience as prescribed by the Medical Council of India.
(iii) Permanent Registration under State Medical Council (Travancore Cochin Medical Council)

Assistant Professor In Malayalam/Sanskrit/Social Studies

(1) Masters Degree in the concerned subject or discipline with atleast 50% marks or its equivalent and good Academic records. (G.O(P)No.115/2008/H.Edn.Dated:27.09.2008)
(2) M.ED Degree with not less than 55 % marks (G.O(P)No.102/2011/H.Edn.Dated:19.07.2011)
(3) Three years teaching experience in Schools or Colleges after acquiring the Professional qualification.
(4) Must have passed the comprehensive test specifically conducted for the purpose by UGC or any agency duly
constituted by the State Government in this behalf.
When qualifications are being equal preference shall be given to candidates who possess adequate knowledge in Malayalam

Assistant Professor in Mathematics

(1) Masters Degree in the concerned subject or discipline with atleast 50% marks or its equivalent and good
Academic records. (G.O(P)No.115/2008/H.Edn. Dated:27.09.2008)
(2) M.ED Degree with not less than 55% marks (G.O(P)No.102/2011/H.Edn.Dated:19.07.2011)
(3) Three years teaching experience in Schools or Colleges after acquiring the Professional qualification.
(4) Must have passed the comprehensive test specifically conducted for the purpose by UGC or any agency duly
constituted by the State Government in this behalf. When qualifications are being equal preference shall be given to candidates who possess adequate knowledge in Malayalam.

Note(a): The Post Graduate study period for Medical subjects will be considered as teaching experience for appointments as Assistant Professor provided the candidates have undergone Residency Programme during the Post Graduate Course period and in the case of candidates who have passed the Post Graduate Course without undergoing residency programme a certificate shall be produced by the candidate from the Principal of the college to the effect that the candidate has got teaching/Clinical work experience during the Post Graduate Course period.
Note(b): DNB qualifications must be acquired from a Medical College which is recognized by any of the University in Kerala.
Note(c) : KS & SSR part -II Rule 10(a) (ii) is applicable.
Note(d):Candidates who claim equivalent qualifications instead of qualification mentioned in the Notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification concerned.
Note(e):In the case of difference in original caste/Community claimed in the application and that entered in SSLC book, the candidates shall produce a Gazette notification in this regard, along with Non Creamy Layer Certificate/Community Certificate at the time of certificate verification.

Candidates must register as per ‘ONE TIME REGISTRATION’ with the Official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission www.keralapsc.gov.in before applying for the post. Candidates who have registered can apply by log in on to their profile using their UserID and password. Candidates must click on the ‘Apply Now’ button of the respective posts in the Notification Link to applying for a post. The photograph uploaded should be one taken after 31.12.2010. Name of the candidate and the date of taking photograph should be printed at the bottom portion. The photograph once uploaded meeting all requirements valid for 10 years from the date of uploading. There is no change in other instructions regarding the uploading of photographs. No application fee is required. Candidates shall take a printout of the application by clicking the link Registration card in their profile. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password. Before the final submission of the application on the profile candidates must ensure correctness of the information on their profile. They must quote the User-ID for further communication with the Commission. Application submitted is provisional and cannot be deleted or altered after submission. The application will be summarily rejected if non-compliance with the notification is found in due course of processing.
